Chapter 934 I'm Not Interesting in Any Man's Body Except Brady

"Alright, let Julie go first," Violet said after agreeing with Miles.

Miles's demeanor softened slightly, a faint smile replacing his usual cold expression. "Mrs. Hall, let's go. She'll stay here and wait for Mr. Hall to pick her up."

Violet nodded.

Miles signaled to his subordinate, a gesture that might look like he was indicating to release Julie to an outsider.

But those from their base knew what it meant.

The subordinate followed orders, pretending to release Julie.

Freed from the burly man's grip, Julie immediately ran to Violet, clutching her arm and crying, "Ms. Devereux, don't do this. They're after me, not you."

"You've done more than enough for me," Julie said, tears streaming down her face.

Ever since Lance's death, Brady had kept her hidden away on his island, almost completely isolated from the outside world.

Her only friend had been Dora, the housekeeper.

But everything changed when Violet arrived. In just a few days, Julie felt a sense of importance and protection she had never experienced before.

For the first time, she understood what it meant to have a friend.

"Julie, listen to me. I'll be fine. You have to trust that Brady will find me," Violet reassured her, gently stroking her thick hair.

Fearing that any delay might make Miles change his mind, Violet quickly turned to him and said, "Alright, let's go now."

Miles watched her perform her act with a calm expression. "No regrets?" he asked.

"No regrets," Violet replied firmly.

"Good," Miles nodded and casually turned to walk ahead.

Violet hurried to follow, not wanting to give him a chance to reconsider.

They walked towards the villa, with the subordinate pretending to release Julie, following closely behind them into the villa.

Julie remained in front of the wooden cabin, still crying.

She didn't know what to do.

Should she let Violet be taken in her place? Or should she risk everything and chase after them?

Julie was paralyzed with fear.

The gruesome image of Lance's throat being slit and the blood pouring out was still vivid in her mind.

She had spent years on the island trying to forget those bloody scenes, but now they were being forced back into her memory.

Terrified, Julie clung to the cabin's outer wall, bending over and vomiting violently.

Her stomach cramped, and acid burned her throat.

Exhausted, she collapsed beside the cabin, staring blankly at the clear blue sky.

For a moment, she wanted to run.

Despite Violet's kindness, she didn't want to die.

After a while, Julie snapped out of her daze, wiped the vomit from her mouth, and forced herself to stand.

She needed to find Brady.

Meanwhile, at the villa, Miles wasn't in a hurry to leave.

In front of Violet, he casually took off his cotton T-shirt, revealing a muscular physique comparable to Brady's.

Brady had also spent two years in a mercenary organization, and like Miles, he looked good both in and out of clothes.

But now that Violet was married to Brady, her heart and mind were solely focused on him.

So even though Miles was blatantly undressing in front of her, she felt nothing.

She tactfully turned her head away.

Miles, however, seemed to enjoy the challenge of outsmarting her.

He deliberately walked up to Violet, shirtless, and looked down at her with his piercing blue eyes.

"Mrs. Hall, don't you want to see your handiwork?" he asked, referring to the bullet graze on his waist from their earlier scuffle.

Violet had no interest in looking.

"Thanks, but I'm not interested in any man's body except my husband's," she replied coolly.
