Chapter 1065 If You Move Against Me, Consider the Reputation of the Hart Group
After a long night, Emily began to recover slowly, but she remained very weak.
She couldn't get out of bed or talk much; speaking was exhausting and left her feeling completely drained.
She had no choice but to continue resting.
Douglas had stayed with her all night but went to the office in the morning.
Elodie stayed in the hospital room to keep her company.
Lucien, worried about Douglas still keeping Austin around, officially resigned from his university position and returned to his family business, starting today.
However, Douglas had no intention of keeping Austin anymore. After everything that had happened, there was no way he would risk Emily attempting suicide again.
So, as soon as he arrived at the office, he instructed the HR department to start the process of firing Austin.
But Austin was desperate. Even if he was fired, he was determined to drag the Hart Group down with him.
Early in the morning, he cleaned up his face, which had been bloodied by Lucien the night before, put on a neat suit, and walked into the Hart Group building without any fear of being thrown out.
He managed to avoid security and went straight to Emily's office, where he rudely sat in her chair and began going through the confidential documents on her desk.
As he flipped through the papers, he quickly took photos with his phone.
The HR department, realizing he had bypassed security, quickly sent Juliet to tell him to leave.
Juliet hurried to Emily's office to find Austin.
When she opened the door, she saw Austin, his face covered in bruises, sitting in Emily's chair, one hand holding his phone and the other rifling through documents.
Juliet instinctively said, "Mr. Roberts, you need to leave. This is the CEO's office, and you can't be here. I've already called security."
Austin laughed without a hint of fear, "Juliet, do whatever you want. I'm not leaving."
Juliet was taken aback. Was this man crazy? This was the Hart Group's office; how could he refuse to leave?
"Mr. Roberts, security will be here any moment. I suggest you leave."
As she spoke, Juliet walked over, determined to prevent him from touching those confidential documents.
These were the annual plans and contracts from the sales department that had been sent to Emily yesterday. Outsiders couldn't touch them.
Juliet reached the desk, intending to take the documents away.
Seeing this, Austin raised his hand and shoved Juliet, causing her to fall to the floor. As she fell, security arrived.
Juliet quickly said, "Get him out of here and take his phone. He might have taken photos."
The security guards, hearing this, moved to grab Austin.
But before they could get close, Austin shouted maniacally, "Try touching me! I've already notified the media. If you lay a hand on me, think about the Hart Group's reputation!"
Whether his claim was true or not, it was enough to intimidate the security guards.
They hesitated, looking at Juliet for guidance.
Juliet stood up from the floor, gritting her teeth, "Don't listen to him. Get him out and give me his phone!"
The security guards finally dared to pull Austin away.
Several of them dragged Austin from the chair while another reached for his phone.
In the struggle, Juliet managed to grab Austin's phone.
She quickly unlocked the screen to check for photos.
Sure enough... he had taken pictures.
This man was terrifying.
If these documents fell into the hands of competitors, the Hart Group would be in turmoil. Juliet felt a cold sweat break out on her back as she hurriedly deleted each photo.
Once all the photos were deleted, Juliet was about to breathe a sigh of relief and instruct security to throw Austin out.
Just then, someone from HR ran over, looking panicked, "Juliet, it's bad. There's a huge crowd of media downstairs."
