Chapter 226 Violet Didn't Want to Have a Check-up in the Hospital

Violet quickly went outside and came across Max, who was walking towards her.

He had also been in the conference room but had just gone out to make a call. Now that the call was finished, he was about to go back to the conference room to find Violet.

And Violet happened to come out.

Max gently said, "I saw Mr. Hall come over. Should we go say hello?"

Violet didn't want to go at all and quickly pretended to be unwell, saying, "Mr. Green, I'm sorry, I'm feeling unwell. Can I go back first?"

"Oh? What is wrong with you?" Max didn't suspect her acting and instead became genuinely concerned, afraid that something was wrong with her.

"I'm afraid I haven't fully recovered from the disease last time," Violet said, covering her abdomen. With this appearance, Max would definitely not ask her to meet Brady. He would only say gently, "Then let me take you back."

As for Brady, he could go and greet him himself first. "Should I go and say hello to Mr. Hall first?"
Violet nodded. Max went into the conference room first, and Violet watched him go in. She was afraid Brady would come out if Max told Brady that she wasn't feeling well, so she took the elevator to the ground floor.

Once Violet reached the spacious ground floor of the hotel, she breathed a sigh of relief and waited for Max to come down.

Upstairs in the conference room on the top floor, Max respectfully went to meet Brady.

When Max found Brady in the conference room, Max bowed and said, "Mr. Hall, I guess the matter has been solved. There will be no more stains on JK and the Hall family's reputation."

Brady glanced at him and didn't say much.

Max continued, "Mr. Hall, if there's nothing else, I'll go back to JK with Violet."

Brady's interest was stimulated when Max mentioned Violet. "Loraine suggested treating you and Violet. Mr. Green, don't you know that?"

Max was taken aback and a little confused. "I... I didn't know." Loraine suggested treating them, but Violet didn't mention it to him at all.

Brady nodded thoughtfully. "Violet didn't tell you?"

"No, Violet is feeling a little unwell and wants to go back to JK," Max answered truthfully.

Brady understood. He thought, 'Is this woman deliberately avoiding me? Doesn't she know that we will meet again sooner or later?'

Brady furrowed his eyebrows. "Where is Violet?"

"She's waiting outside for me," Max said.

Brady nodded. "Since Violet, one of the parties involved, won't join the dinner, we'll reschedule." Brady finished speaking and instructed his assistant to deliver the message to Loraine about rescheduling the dinner.

After giving the instructions, Brady turned to Max and said, "Mr. Green, in that case, let's return to the Hall family together."

Max naturally didn't dare to object. He nodded in agreement.

The three of them left the conference room one after another and took the elevator to the lobby on the ground floor. When they reached the lobby, Brady indeed saw Violet standing there.

His gaze slightly intensified.

Max also saw Violet. He said first, "Mr. Hall, Violet is right ahead."

Violet heard Max's voice and thought he had come back alone. When she turned around to look at him, she saw Brady walking in the front. She frowned.

Violet thought, 'Isn't Brady supposed to have dinner with Loraine?

'Why did he come down too?'
"Violet, I heard you aren't feeling well?" said Brady in a calm, gentle tone as he approached Violet. At least, the people around wouldn't discern any thoughts Brady might have had about Violet.

"I... I feel a bit unwell. It is not a big deal," Violet replied, looking at him. She didn't want to be taken to the hospital for check-ups, so she said that in a hurry.
