Chapter 671 Everything is Cleared Up

"Think it over, Juniper. Don't make a scene," Ethan finally said.

Juniper stood there, stiff and silent, her lips pressed tightly together. She felt both ashamed and embarrassed. She didn't want to admit she had acted impulsively. Her brother's point was clear: Violet didn't want to reconnect with their family, and it was only Juniper who was getting all worked up.

She released her lips, now marked with teeth imprints, and said in a small voice, "Ethan, I... I thought Mom was the victim."

"In this situation, they're both victims. You don't need to be so aggressive," Ethan sighed softly, rubbing the bridge of his nose, feeling exhausted by his sister's stubbornness.

"I need some time to cool off," Juniper said, feeling too ashamed to stay in Violet's hospital room any longer.

"Alright," Ethan agreed, not wanting her to disturb Violet any further.

Juniper quickly left the room. As soon as she was gone, Ethan walked over to Violet's bedside and asked, "Violet, how are you feeling? Any discomfort?"

Violet shook her head. "No, I'm feeling okay now."

Ethan nodded, somewhat relieved. "Juniper's always been spoiled by us. She's got a bit of a temper and speaks her mind. Don't take it to heart."

"She doesn't know the whole truth, so it's understandable she'd misunderstand. It's fine once everything is explained," Violet said, not wanting to dwell on the topic.

"Alright."

"Mr. Lawson, let her rest more," Brady, who had been silent until now, spoke up from behind Ethan.

Ethan understood and looked back at Violet. "Get some rest."

"Okay."

"Mr. Lawson, let's talk outside," Brady continued.

Ethan nodded and left the room, with Brady following closely behind. The two men walked slowly to one side of the hallway and stopped to talk.

Brady started, "Violet told me that your father plans to give her 20% of the shares."

Ethan raised an eyebrow and looked at the imposing Brady. "Yes, it's meant as compensation."

Brady smiled faintly. "Don't you think that's a bit too much?"

"What do you mean, Mr. Hall?"

"From what I understand, Lawson Corporation is a family business with a complex share structure. Giving Violet 20% of the shares out of the blue will definitely cause a stir," Brady said calmly.

Although Lawson Corporation was highly valuable, and 20% would be enough for an ordinary person to live comfortably for several lifetimes, their family business structure was complicated. Unlike the Hall Group, where Brady had the final say and no one dared to question his decisions, the Lawson Corporation's shares were a different matter. Brady didn't want Violet to take on such a hot potato, which could lead to various disputes and schemes. The Hall family could provide her with enough wealth for several lifetimes. Adding Lawson Corporation's shares was unnecessary.

Ethan hadn't expected Brady to know so much about Lawson Corporation. His expression softened with a hint of admiration. "Yes, the share structure is complex, but it won't be an issue. The 20% shares are my father's."

In other words, even if others had opinions, it wouldn't matter. These were James's shares. No one else had a say in it.

"That's true, but I still want to avoid unnecessary trouble. She's pregnant and can't handle the stress," Brady said, more concerned about her well-being.

"Mr. Hall, Violet is my sister too. I understand the importance. Don't worry," Ethan reassured him. However, the shares were his father's decision. If they didn't give them to her, his father would never forgive himself.

"Alright."
