Chapter 337 He Won't Let Any Man Offend Her

After that, the two kept things strictly professional. Brady sat quietly in the car, lost in thoughts about Henry and Nicole, while Violet’s mind was absorbed in the plans for the night on the yacht.

Both were deep in their own worlds as they pulled up to the Hall Group.

Violet got out first, with Brady trailing behind, keeping a bit of distance to avoid office gossip.

They kept about six feet apart as they headed to the elevator.

Just as Violet was about to reach it, her ex-fiancé Oliver, who had broken off their engagement, suddenly appeared with a sleazy grin. He was decked out in a flashy suit, and had his hair slicked back.

He blocked her path with his arm, sneering. "Violet, what a coincidence."

Startled, Violet took a step back, maintaining her composure. "What are you doing here?"

"Why can't I be here?" Oliver sneered, his eyes shamelessly roaming over her. "Did you buy this place to keep everyone else out? What makes me any less entitled to be here?"

His words were blunt and provocative.

It was clear he was harassing her. She frowned and said, "I didn't say that. If there's nothing else, please move aside. I need to get to work."

Violet wanted nothing to do with this ex-fiancé forced on her by the Devereux family. She clutched her bag and tried to walk past him.

But Oliver wasn't about to let her go that easily.

With a sinister smile, he grabbed her wrist, trying to pull her into his arms. Before he could, Brady, who had been walking behind her, stepped forward.

With a swift kick, he struck Oliver hard in the waist.

Oliver cried out in pain, his face contorted in agony as he let go of Violet and crumpled to the floor. His eyes widened in shock as he saw Brady standing before him.

Brady glared at him, teeth clenched. "Get lost."

Ignoring the throbbing pain in his side, Oliver clutched his waist and quickly scrambled away.

The scene left their colleagues stunned. "Did Mr. Hall just play the hero?"

"No way, he probably just helped out on a whim."

"Yeah, Mr. Hall wouldn't normally play the hero. If he hadn’t step in, it could have affected the Hall Group's image."

"But he looked so cool doing it! So cold and handsome!"

"Yeah, he was really cool."

The employees whispered excitedly but quickly fell silent, fearing Mr. Hall might hear and fire them. The lobby soon returned to its usual state as everyone headed to their respective floors.

Still visibly shaken, Violet glanced at Brady and instinctively said, "Mr. Hall, thank you."

Brady gave her a look, not wanting to say much, and strode into the elevator first.

Brady's actions today would undoubtedly be the talk of the company, but he didn't seem to care. All he knew was that Violet was his, and he wouldn't let any man touch her.
