Chapter 645 Brady Actually Bit Her

Violet was on edge, waiting for that so-called "savior" Ethan to call her about being his tour guide. She felt like a thief these past few days, constantly looking over her shoulder.
She was terrified Brady would find out.
Initially, she just wanted to give Ethan a gift and be done with it, but now he wanted her to be his tour guide?
Violet couldn't bring herself to refuse the man who had helped her.
So, things got a bit complicated.
Sure enough, the next day, Ethan texted her, asking if she could show him around. He wanted to learn more about the culture and sights of New Future City.
Violet couldn't find a way out of it, so she told Max she needed a day off.
After asking for the day off, Brady, who had just finished getting dressed, gently hugged her from behind and said, "You ready? I'll drive you to work."
"I... I don't need a ride today," Violet replied, trying to look calm as she turned to face him.
"Why? Got plans?" Brady raised an eyebrow, looking a bit puzzled.
"Yeah, I made plans with Emily. We have some personal stuff to take care of," Violet said with an awkward smile.
Her smile was so forced that the muscles in her face were almost cramping.
She really wasn't good at lying. Whenever she lied, her facial muscles just wouldn't cooperate.
Brady narrowed his eyes slightly and reached out to pinch her stiff cheek muscles, saying in a seemingly affectionate yet casual manner, "You seem a bit tense lately. Your face feels stiff."
Violet's heart skipped a beat. What did he mean by that?
Had he noticed something?
Her eyelids twitched, and she hurriedly said, "Maybe. Pregnant women tend to get nervous. You should go ahead. I'll meet up with Emily in a bit."
"What's the rush? Give me a kiss first," Brady said, already sensing something was off with her.
He could tell from her flustered demeanor that she was hiding something.
At that moment, Brady felt a mix of jealousy and dissatisfaction.
He was worried that Violet might be unfaithful.
Violet, unaware that he might have seen through her, pretended to be calm and gave him a gentle kiss. But as soon as she did, Brady pulled her in and kissed her back forcefully.
His kiss was passionate and dominant, almost possessive, as if he wanted to claim her completely.
Violet could barely breathe.
What shocked her even more was that Brady actually bit her.
It wasn't accidental—it felt deliberate, as if he was marking her.
She finally managed to break free, and Brady, acting as if nothing had happened, touched her bitten lip and said, "Sorry, honey. I got a bit carried away. I'll be more careful next time."
"It's fine," Violet said, not daring to argue with him at this moment.
Ethan was waiting for her!
She was really getting frustrated.
"Alright, go find Emily. Be safe on the way. I'm heading back to the office," Brady said as he held her hand and walked downstairs with her.
Violet nodded and followed him downstairs.
Once they were downstairs, Brady left for the "office." Violet waited until his car was out of sight before quickly calling Emily, asking her to cover for her.
If Brady asked, Emily would say they spent the day together.
Emily didn't know what Violet was up to, but as a good friend, she agreed to help.
After making arrangements with Emily, Violet grabbed her bag and snuck out of the house.
Once she was out, she didn't take a bodyguard or driver.
She hailed a cab and headed to the location Ethan had mentioned.
As soon as she got into the cab, Brady, who hadn't gone to the office but was hiding nearby, instructed his driver, "Follow that cab."
The driver nodded and stepped on the gas, speeding after Violet's cab.
