Chapter 596 She Didn't Want to Let a Trashy Woman Occupy the Hall Family's Inheritance for Nothing
Nicole suddenly burst into tears, and Brady and Violet were terrified, both trying to comfort her.
No matter how they tried, they couldn't calm her down. She cried as if she had been severely shocked, her face turning red, and even choking and coughing.
Nicole then vomited on the floor, throwing up all the food she had consumed in the morning. Even after vomiting, she continued to cry, and not even Violet holding her could soothe her.
"Brady, should we take her to the hospital?" Violet suggested, worried that Nicole's crying might lead to something serious.
Brady agreed, "I'll get someone to start the car." He then turned to Michael and said, "Dad, we'll be back later."
"I'll go with you. Nicole is my granddaughter too," Michael said, concerned about the child's condition.
"You all go ahead, I'll stay with Henry," Matilda said, worried that too many people might complicate things.
Ava watched the whole scene and was visibly annoyed.
'Isn't she just crying? What's the big deal? A little girl who only knows how to cry all day.' Ava thought to herself.
After they left for the hospital, Ava stood up and said, "Mom, I have a commercial shoot at the company. I need to go."
"Nicole is going to the hospital, and you're not worried?" Matilda asked, feeling that Ava was being too indifferent.
"Of course, I'm worried," Ava replied insincerely, "I'll call Michael. Mom, some concerns don't need to be spoken out loud."
Matilda felt helpless.
Seeing Matilda's silence, Ava continued her pretense, "Mom, I know I've been a bit much before. I'll try to improve."
"Really?" Matilda was skeptical.
"Yes, I'll head to the company now," Ava walked over to Henry and gently touching his hair. "Mom, I'll treat them well," Ava said, looking at the miniature version of Henry.
She couldn't go against them now, otherwise, with Brady and Michael's temper, they would surely send her back abroad. She didn't want a worthless woman to take over the Hall family's assets. She needed to stay here, so she planned to pretend to be nice to them and then get rid of them when the time was right.
"It better be that way. A harmonious family life is what we need," Matilda said.
"Alright, I'll be off then," Ava said, retracting her hand and grabbing her bag before leaving.
As soon as she left, Henry immediately ran into Matilda's arms and said, "Great-grandma, I'm scared."
"Don't be afraid, Henry. I'm here, and I'll protect you," Matilda said, holding him tightly and comforting him gently.
With Matilda's reassurance, Henry felt less scared and sat obediently next to her.
Outside the villa, Ava walked to her car, and then took out her phone to call her assistant. "Leah, how's the dress design coming along? Has she accepted it?"
Leah quickly replied, "Ava, she accepted it and said she'll bring the first draft tomorrow."
"I want it today! If she can't deliver, make her pay the penalty." Ava ordered through gritted teeth.
Leah responded quickly, "Got it, I'll tell her right away."
"Good." Ava hung up, her anger slightly subsiding, and then got into her car to head to the company.
