Chapter 738 Maybe You Can Cooperate with Me

Darian stood quietly by the roadside, watching Violet for a long time before turning and getting into the Maybach parked a short distance away.

The car roared to life with a low growl and quickly disappeared down the tree-lined street.

Violet and Emily remained blissfully unaware, chatting and gossiping over their meal at a nearby restaurant.

Not far from them, in another upscale restaurant, Brady was leaning back in a private booth, smoking a cigarette, waiting for Aiden to arrive.

Eddy stood by his side.

It was already ten minutes past the agreed meeting time.

Eddy, thinking Aiden might be too scared to show up, whispered to Brady, "Mr. Hall, maybe he's too afraid to come? Should we just hand the evidence over to the police?"

Brady had other plans.

He flicked the ash from his cigarette and, after a moment, said, "He left such a big clue for me. I'm not sure if he's trying to sabotage himself or if he has another plan."

Eddy was puzzled. "Mr. Hall, do you mean Aiden left that big clue on purpose for us to find?"

Brady nodded. "If he wanted to take me down or take over Harbor Bay, he wouldn't have left such an obvious trail."

This wasn't Aiden's usual style.

Though he wasn't always the smartest, the blatant clue at Harbor Bay was suspicious.

Brady needed to stay cautious.

"Mr. Hall, I'm a bit slow. I can't figure out what Mr. White is trying to do," Eddy admitted.

If it was just to tarnish the Hall Group's reputation, anyone could guess that.

Brady checked his watch. "We'll wait another ten minutes."

If Aiden didn't show up by then, Brady wouldn't wait any longer.

Eddy nodded. "Yes, Mr. Hall."

Time ticked by, and finally, five minutes later, Aiden arrived, deliberately late.

His assistant respectfully pulled out a chair for him.

Aiden glanced at Brady, who was calmly smoking, showing no sign of anger.

Aiden sneered inwardly.

Brady was indeed composed.

Despite the situation, he waited calmly.

Aiden sat down, crossed his legs, and smirked at Brady. "Mr. Hall, what an honor to be invited by you."

"I remember you never wanted to see me before."

Brady casually flicked his cigarette ash and smiled. "Mr. White, you know why."

"Is it about Harbor Bay? Do you suspect me?" Aiden asked, maintaining a fake smile.

"Do I need to suspect?" Brady blew a smoke ring.

The white smoke drifted towards Aiden, making his eyes narrow slightly, but he remained composed. "Do you have any evidence?"

Brady wasn't interested in playing word games. "Mr. White, we both know what's going on. Let's not beat around the bush."

Aiden's eyes darkened, and he chuckled. "Mr. Hall, even if I don't beat around the bush, Harbor Bay has nothing to do with me."

"In that case, Mr. White, don't blame me for handing everything over to the police," Brady said coldly, extinguishing his cigarette in the ashtray.

Aiden's face darkened, and he fell silent.

He had indeed orchestrated the incident, aiming to force Brady into sharing resources.

But he knew Brady's skills well enough to expect he'd be found out.

He hadn't been too secretive because he had discovered another issue at Harbor Bay.

"Since you've figured it out, Mr. Hall, I won't beat around the bush either. Yes, I did it. But you might not know that in doing so, I uncovered a major flaw at Harbor Bay. Mr. Hall, would you like to save it? Maybe we can work together."
