Chapter 861 He Will Get Himself into Trouble

Darian glared at Calliope, ready to strike again.

Meanwhile, Violet, who had been waiting in the restaurant, noticed Calliope had been gone for too long. She also saw that Darian had left, and worried that something might have happened, she hurriedly went to find her.

When she arrived, she found Calliope collapsed on the floor with Darian crouching beside her.

Violet stood behind them, unable to hear their conversation, but she knew Calliope was in danger.

"Calliope, what happened? How did you fall?" Violet suppressed her anxiety, quickly walked over, and pretended to be surprised as she helped Calliope up.

After helping her, she deliberately asked Darian, "Mr. Voss, what happened to her?"

Darian, unfazed and seemingly unafraid of being exposed by Calliope, calmly replied, "Ms. Green got lost and bumped into something, causing her to fall. I was just about to help her up when you arrived."

Calliope's head was still spinning; she had no idea what Darian had hit her with.

He was ruthless.

"Calliope, how are you feeling now?" Violet feigned understanding and concern as she asked Calliope.

Calliope met her gaze, and they instantly understood each other. Calliope weakly said, "I'm feeling a bit better. But still very dizzy."

"How about I take you to the hospital?" Violet suggested, eager to get her away from Darian.

Calliope held her forehead and obediently nodded.

Violet then turned to Darian and said, "Mr. Voss, I'm sorry, but we can't continue with lunch today. I need to take her to the hospital."

"No problem, I'll drive you," Darian replied smoothly, his eyes thoughtfully watching Calliope and Violet.

Violet initially wanted to refuse his offer, but on second thought, she realized that refusing might arouse his suspicion, so she agreed.

"Let's go," Darian said, turning towards the living room.

Violet supported Calliope and followed slowly.

As they passed the dining room, Lucien noticed Violet helping Calliope and glanced at Darian. Without needing to ask, he seemed to understand what might have happened.

With a slight frown, he walked over from the dining table and asked, "What happened?"

"Professor Moreau, Calliope fell. We need to take her to the hospital," Violet said, feigning urgency. "Mr. Voss is taking us."

So, something did happen.

Lucien's expression darkened further. He knew Darian wouldn't let things go easily.

"I'll come with you."

"Lucien, there's no need," Darian said, not wanting to drag him into the mess with Brady.

"It's no trouble at all," Lucien insisted, wanting to talk to him.

Did Darian push Calliope?

If he continued like this, he was bound to get himself into serious trouble.

"It's not necessary," Darian forced a smile, which quickly faded. He patted Lucien on the shoulder, grabbed his car keys, and led Violet and Calliope to the hospital.

Lucien and Alaric stayed behind, watching his departing figure with concern.

"Professor Moreau, is Darian going to ruin himself?" Alaric asked, his voice low and helpless.

Lucien remained silent, not wanting to say anything.

He knew Darian was straying further and further from the person he once knew—a talented and righteous friend.

"Professor Moreau, please help Darian," Alaric pleaded, worried that even Lucien might give up on him.

"I can't help him. The person he's tangled with is Brady, someone I can't fight against," Lucien said, wishing he could help, but knowing the opponent was Brady.

What could he do?

Unless Darian turned back himself.

"Is there no way?" Alaric was on the verge of breaking down. He didn't want to see Darian destroy himself.

"There is one way—send him away from here," Lucien sighed. That seemed to be the only option left.

Otherwise, he was courting disaster.
