Chapter 410 Eileen Will Handle This Herself
After hanging up, Pelinka's mood did a complete 180, and her eyes sparkled with satisfaction instead of malice.
Eileen and Lilian, who had been eavesdropping the whole time, felt a wave of relief wash over them.
Especially Lilian, who quickly wiped away the last of her tears, asked Pelinka, "Did Matilda agree to help us?"
Pelinka shook her head and snorted. "Nope, too complicated to explain over the phone. I set up a meeting at her place tomorrow. I'll make sure Violet pays."
Pelinka's lips curled into a smug, cold smile.
That jerk Violet thought she could take them down, but no way. Lilian would spill all the dirt on Violet.
She'd be done for.
Lilian chimed in, "You gotta talk to Matilda properly tomorrow."
"Of course," Pelinka said warmly. "Lilian, I'll help you explain everything to the Hall family and get you back to work at the Hall Group."
Lilian's face lit up, and she rushed to Pelinka's side, showering her with praise. "You're the best. Our family can only count on you. No matter how tough it gets, you're the one who can fix it."
Lilian kept buttering her up, knowing that as long as Pelinka was happy, she could keep living her cushy life.
She had to rely on Pelinka and Eileen to completely take down Violet.
Lilian's sweet talk made Pelinka super happy. After half an hour of flattery, they all headed to the restaurant for dinner.
After eating, Pelinka went to check on her son, who was still resting in bed.
Eileen pulled Lilian aside for a chat, "Do you think she can handle this?"
It wasn't that she doubted Pelinka, but this involved Brady.
She had a feeling it might not go smoothly.
"Isn't she meeting Matilda tomorrow? Do you think Matilda would be okay with their relationship if she knew about Violet's bad rep?" Lilian said, her eyes cold and focused.
"I'm just worried Brady will protect her." Eileen felt this situation was more complicated than it seemed.
Lilian shrugged it off. "So what? Can he really go against his family? Anyway, tomorrow, Violet will be done for! Let's just sit back and watch."
Did Violet think she could steal her man? Lilian wouldn't let her get away with it!
"I'm still worried. We need a backup plan." After being forced to cut her finger in front of Violet last time, Eileen knew Violet had some tricks up her sleeve.
Just like this time, she thought it was just a private matter for the Devereux family.
But then Brady got involved.
So she had to think of other options.
"Eileen, you're overthinking it." Lilian didn't want to talk about Violet anymore, afraid it would make her too angry to sleep. "I don't want to discuss her anymore. I'm going to rest for a bit."
Eileen knew Lilian trusted Pelinka too much, but there was nothing she could do. She decided to come up with a backup plan herself. After all, no one could guarantee that Matilda would side with them over Violet tomorrow, so she didn't push Lilian any further.
Eileen patted her shoulder and said, "Go rest."
She'd figure this out on her own.
