Chapter 662 Invitation to A Premiere
Around 10 AM, Ava cleared her schedule and headed to the Hall Estate to have a chat with Matilda.
Lately, she had been trying to make amends for her past mistakes with Violet and the kids.
Matilda had noticed her efforts and was slowly starting to forgive her.
When Ava returned to the mansion, Matilda didn't give her a hard time, which was a sign of forgiveness.
Ava had been through a lot recently, almost losing both her husband and son. She was determined not to cause any more trouble. So, when she entered the living room, she was on her best behavior, even trying to win Matilda over.
"Mom, after everything that's happened, I realize how wrong I was before. So, when my new movie premieres, I want to invite Violet to attend with me," Ava said sincerely.
This premiere would be the perfect opportunity to announce to the world that Violet was her daughter-in-law.
She was ready to accept and acknowledge Violet.
She also decided to ignore the online rumors.
Matilda was a bit surprised by Ava's quick change of heart. She gave her a sideways glance and pretended to still be angry. "Do you really know you were wrong this time?"
Ava nodded. "Why else would I come to see you?"
"If only you had realized this sooner. Because of you, Henry and Nicole don't even dare to come here. If I want to see them, I have to go all the way to the city," Matilda complained.
"I know; I'm working on fixing our relationships," Ava replied. If she had come to her senses earlier, things wouldn't have gotten this bad.
She had a home she couldn't return to, and her son and husband were reluctant to interact with her.
"As long as you know. This way, Henry and Nicole can come here to play," Matilda said, clearly missing the kids.
"Okay," Ava nodded again.
After a pause, she added, "Mom, I'm going to the Hall Group to see Violet and talk about the premiere."
"Good, you should spend more time with her. A harmonious family is the key to the Hall family's success."
"Okay," Ava agreed. She had already realized the importance of family.
From now on, she wouldn't look at Violet with prejudice.
Ava stayed with Matilda for about half an hour before heading to the Hall Group to see Violet. This time, she put her pride aside and personally invited Violet to be a guest at the premiere. She believed Violet wouldn't refuse.
At that moment, Violet was busy with her designs at JK when the receptionist informed her that Ava had arrived.
She was a bit surprised.
Ava had been trying to make amends and had been quite humble about it. Violet almost felt sorry for her, but Brady had advised her not to forgive his mom too quickly. He said that only by being firm could his mom fully accept her.
So, Violet had obediently avoided seeing Ava.
She didn't expect Ava to come to the company. Violet was a bit taken aback.
But since Ava was there, she couldn't avoid meeting her.
She put down the phone and went downstairs to see Ava.
In the lobby, Ava, looking stylish as ever, was waiting in the guest area.
Despite being a former star, she stood there casually, and many employees who had seen her movies gathered around for autographs.
Ava was very approachable and signed autographs for everyone.
Once she finished, Violet walked over, feeling a bit awkward about meeting her there. But she kept her tone polite and said, "What brings you to the company?"
Ava didn't beat around the bush. She spoke sincerely, "I'm about to start filming a new movie, and I want to invite you to be my costume designer and attend the premiere. Would you?"
Violet was taken aback. This invitation was clear—Ava wanted to introduce her to the public.
