Chapter 949 A Sudden Confession, Striking Brady's Heart
As soon as the word "wedding" was mentioned, Violet's initial anger melted away, and she looked at him with moist eyes. "Why bring up the wedding all of a sudden?"
"Why do you say 'sudden'? Isn't this something I owe you?" Brady smiled gently, his fingers lightly brushing her slightly damp hair.
"Don't all girls dream of having a grand wedding of their own?"
Of course, Violet had dreamed of it. But now, she no longer had those extravagant fantasies of a lavish wedding. All she wanted was a stable and happy home.
A home with Brady, their children, and their friends and family.
That was the kind of home she truly desired.
"I used to imagine having a beautiful, dreamy wedding, but now I have something even more fulfilling."
"And what's that?"
Violet blinked, "You."
Her sudden confession hit Brady right in the heart, making it flutter.
He then cupped Violet's face and kissed her tenderly.
From now on, they would be entwined together forever.
That night was destined to be enchanting. As the morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, warming the room, Violet and Brady woke up in each other's arms.
They opened their eyes, saw each other's faces, and shared a contented smile before getting up to wash up.
After freshening up, Violet packed the remaining luggage.
Hellen had already taken her and the kids' luggage back. Only Brady's suitcase was left.
Once they finished packing, they came downstairs.
Arthur and the others were already there, sitting on the couch, waiting for them.
Arthur glanced at Violet and smiled, "Are you flying back now?"
"You guys go ahead," Brady said, planning to take her to a nearby town for a little trip. "It's rare for us to have some time alone. I'll take her to the town next door for a bit."
The island wasn't far from the nearest town.
Bob usually went there to buy groceries and supplies.
Brady wanted to take her there for a little fun.
Arthur nodded, "Well, I won't tag along then. I've got a ton of work waiting for me at the office."
"Thanks for everything," Brady said, grateful for Arthur's unwavering support.
"No big deal," Arthur replied nonchalantly.
They had known each other for many years and had helped each other countless times.
"Stay safe on the road."
"Will do. I won't keep you any longer." Since they weren't leaving yet, Arthur decided to take his luggage and head back home.
He had been away for a while, with mountainous work awaiting his attention in Crestolia.
"I'll see you off."
Arthur nodded, not refusing the offer.
Once they left, Violet sat on the couch, sipping some juice to soothe her throat.
After a few sips, Bob, who had been waiting nearby, couldn't help but ask worriedly, "Mrs. Hall, where's Julie? Why didn't she come back?"
He knew Brady and the others had returned last night, but hadn't seen Julie.
Bob was worried something might have happened to her.
Even though Julie wasn't his daughter, Bob had come to see her as one over the years.
"She's fine. She stayed back," Violet said gently, putting down her juice.
Bob didn't understand. Wasn't it dangerous for her to stay there? "Mrs. Hall, she..."
"Bob, don't worry. She's fine. She's with Miles, her relative," Violet said quickly, seeing Bob's anxious expression.
Bob still looked confused, so Violet explained further.
After she finished, Bob finally understood.
