Chapter 637 Treat Me to Lunch

"Thanks a lot, sir." Violet snapped out of her daze after a moment of eye contact with him and expressed her gratitude again.

Ethan finally came to his senses and smiled gently, saying, "No problem."

"Could I get your contact info? I'd like to buy you a gift to thank you for finding my son," Violet continued.

Ethan nodded, and his assistant immediately handed Violet his business card. She took a quick glance at it and was a bit taken aback.

He was the CEO of Lawson Corporation, the largest energy conglomerate overseas?

Violet was surprised by Ethan's background, but she quickly put the card away and smiled. "Mr. Lawson, I'll be going now."

"Alright," Ethan nodded, watching her leave with her child.

Once she was out of sight, Ethan turned to his assistant and said, "Let's head back to the hotel."

The assistant nodded and led the way.

Back at the hotel, Ethan couldn't stop thinking about Violet, whom he had met at the shopping mall.

She was very beautiful and seemed somewhat familiar.

It was a pity she was already married with a child.

Ethan planned to ask her about her situation when she came to see him, as he felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity with her.

"Mr. Lawson, your father has checked into a five-star hotel across the street from ours," the assistant reported as he entered Ethan's presidential suite with a cup of black coffee.

Ethan snapped out of his thoughts, took the coffee, and sipped it. "Alright, arrange for some people to keep an eye on my dad, just in case."

"Yes, Mr. Lawson."

"If there's nothing else, you can leave. I need to get some sleep," Ethan said, taking another sip of his coffee.

The assistant nodded and left without disturbing his rest.

After the assistant left, Ethan put down his coffee cup and was about to take a shower when he received a text message from the number Violet had given him: [Hello, Mr. Lawson, I'm the mother of the lost child from the mall today. Thank you for your help. If you have time, I'd like to personally deliver a gift to express my gratitude.]

Ethan smiled as he read the message. He didn't need a gift; he just wanted to get to know Violet better. [No need for a gift. How about you treat me to lunch instead?]

Violet hesitated when she received his reply.

She wasn't keen on having lunch with a stranger, especially since she was married. If Brady found out she was having lunch with another man, he would definitely be jealous and upset.

Violet wanted to decline. [Mr. Lawson, I might not have time for lunch. Can I just send you a gift?]

Ethan replied: [Let's have lunch. I'll send you the restaurant address tomorrow.]

Violet really didn't want to have lunch with a stranger, but then she thought about how he had saved her son. Having lunch wasn't a big deal.

It wasn't like she was going on a date or anything.

After some consideration, Violet agreed.

However, she didn't plan to tell Brady. She didn't want to complicate things, and she was afraid Brady would blame her for almost losing Henry.

So, she decided that after lunch, she wouldn't contact this stranger again.

Violet thought she had it all figured out, but things rarely go as planned.

The next day at noon, Violet arrived at the restaurant Ethan had chosen for their lunch.

Shortly after she arrived, Brady texted her, asking if she wanted to have lunch together.

Violet couldn't be in two places at once, so she decided to have lunch with her benefactor first.

She made up a flimsy excuse, telling Brady she was very busy and had to work through lunch.
