Chapter 912 I Cannot Let Anything Happen to You
"So, you mean to lure them out?" Arthur asked after a moment of thought.
"Yeah, pretty much. But before we do that, you should have Diana and Violet head back," Brady replied, not wanting the women to stay here in case things went south.
"Got it."
"Let's head back for now." They had seen enough.
If the intruders made it to the island, it would take them a while to find them anyway.
Better to draw them out.
The two men returned to the villa, while Bob sent someone to fetch a mat to bring Dora out.
Inside the villa, Violet had already had Hellen bring Nicole and Henry back.
The two kids weren't quite ready to leave.
Especially Henry, who had rarely been to the beach.
This trip with Brady had him over the moon.
He wished they could stay here forever so he could catch crabs and collect seashells every day.
"Dad, I want to go to the beach tonight to see the stars and the waves!" Henry waved his seashell triumphantly at Brady.
Brady ruffled his hair with a sigh. "Henry, we have to head back today. How about I bring you here again next time?"
Henry was stunned. They had only been here for two days, and now they had to leave? No way!
Henry's face fell. "Dad, I haven't had enough fun yet."
Nicole, on the other hand, was always well-behaved.
If Brady said it was time to go home, she didn't argue, even though she also wanted to stay longer.
She always listened to Brady and Violet.
"Henry, be good. Dad has something to take care of. We'll come back next time, okay?" Violet picked him up and tried to comfort him.
Henry pouted, unhappy. "Mom, I like it here."
"I know. I promise we'll come back next month, okay?" Violet kissed his forehead, trying to soothe him.
She felt guilty.
They had come here to relax and have fun, but now they had to leave because of unforeseen events.
She was determined to bring them back next month to make it up to Henry.
Henry was still sulking, but Violet's promise of a return visit next month made him relent. He pouted but nodded. "Okay."
"That's my good boy." Violet, having calmed Henry down, asked Hellen and the nanny to start packing their things.
Brady pulled Violet aside. "Honey, you and the kids should go ahead. Arthur and I will stay here to handle things."
"I want to stay with you!" Violet was worried and didn't want to leave him alone.
Brady kissed her gently, his voice tender and loving. "Honey, you're the most precious person to me right now. I can't let anything happen to you. So, please, be good, okay?"
"Will you be in danger?" Violet knew he wouldn't let her stay, so she didn't argue further.
She planned to stay behind secretly.
She couldn't bear to be apart from him.
Even if there was danger, she wanted to face it together.
But she wouldn't be a burden to him.
"I promise I'll come back safe," Brady swore, raising his hand.
Violet smiled and nodded, pretending to agree. "Okay, I'll listen to you."
Seeing her relent, Brady felt relieved and hugged her as they went to pack their things.
