Chapter 820 It Doesn't Mean He Will Let Men Swarm Around Her
As expected.
Brady was indeed watching the signing ceremony from his office. When he saw that provocative look again, his cold eyes instantly became as deep and unfathomable as the ocean's depths.
His hand, holding a pen on the desk, tightened its grip.
Within seconds, in the vast, silent office, his assistant Eddy heard a crisp 'snap.'
The expensive pen, worth tens of thousands, was broken in Brady's hand.
Black ink spilled from the pen, staining Brady's well-defined fingers.
Eddy was startled.
Was Brady really that angry?
But he didn't dare to speculate further. He quickly grabbed a couple of clean tissues and wiped the ink off Brady's fingers.
"Mr. Hall, do you need me to check the conference room?" Eddy asked cautiously after disposing of the ink-stained tissues.
"No need," Brady replied calmly. He wasn't reckless. He knew Violet's desire to make JK better. If he interfered, Violet would be upset.
She had said she wanted her career to stand shoulder to shoulder with his.
So she kept striving.
He didn't want to undermine her efforts, but that didn't mean he would let random men buzz around her like flies.
He just needed a foolproof plan.
After a pause, Brady said, "Eddy, look into the background of that joint venture design company for me."
Eddy nodded.
"And clear my schedule for the next few days. I need to visit someone." He remembered his mother, Ava, had once sought the help of a world-renowned designer to create a dress when she first gained her star status.
That dress had made her the star of the red carpet.
Every piece designed by this national treasure was museum-worthy.
She was the only designer to receive a state-level reception at Crestoria.
But she had retired ten years ago.
Brady wanted to bring her out of retirement.
That way, Violet wouldn't need to rely on Darian, the hypocrite.
Eddy replied, "Yes, Mr. Hall."
In the conference room.
After shaking hands with Violet, Darian let go, and everyone took their seats.
They began discussing the collaboration.
The signing process went smoothly without any ambiguous incidents.
Violet and Darian quickly signed the contract.
Looking at the signed contract, Violet felt a small thrill of excitement and turned to Darian. "Mr. Voss, we're colleagues now. I hope you won't mind our small company."
"Of course, you're free at JK. We won't force you to stay. Whatever you need, we'll do our best to accommodate."
Darian listened, his gaze fixed on Violet's stunning face.
He smiled slightly. "Ms. Devereux, no need to be so formal."
"Let's hope we can take JK and Mr. Voss's studio to new heights."
"Since we're celebrating, shouldn't we have some champagne?" Darian gestured to his assistant.
The assistant promptly took out a bottle of fine champagne from a prepared bag and placed it on the table.
"I'll get the glasses," Max said, quickly getting up to fetch glasses from a cabinet.
After bringing out several glasses, the assistant opened the champagne and poured it into each glass.
Darian picked up a glass and handed it to Violet. "Ms. Devereux, a little won't hurt, right?"
Violet nodded. Just as she was about to take the glass, the conference room door opened.
Eddy entered first, followed by Brady.
He walked straight to Violet, took the glass from Darian, and with a cold smile said, "Mr. Voss, sorry, but my dear is still nursing and can't drink. I'll drink for her. Cheers to the successful collaboration between the Hall Group JK and Mr. Voss."
With that, he downed the champagne in one gulp.
