Chapter 343 How Short of Designers is JK?
"Not you? Then is it Ms. Murphy?" The top designers in the company were Fanny and Laura.
Natalia figured it had to be one of them. "Neither. I heard it's a newcomer," Fanny said, her eyes drifting towards Violet.
Following her gaze, Natalia spotted Violet and frowned. "You mean Violet?"
No way. Violet had just become a full-time employee.
In terms of experience and work, she couldn't hold a candle to Fanny and Laura.
Feeling it was unfair, Natalia looked away and muttered, "Is it true? If so, that's just not right."
"Seems like it," Fanny replied.
"If that's the case, we need to protest when Max and Violet go," Natalia said, clearly upset.
"I think so too," Fanny agreed and asked another designer, who naturally sided with them.
"Then it's settled," Fanny said, feeling reassured by the consensus.
She couldn't believe that even if all the designers protested collectively, Max would still have the courage to take Violet with him to Elysium Springs.
Fanny was determined not to let a fresh graduate like Violet step over her.
Meanwhile, in the model's break room, after the incident with the lost diamond necklace, the other models gathered around Leana, expressing their concern.
One model, seeing Violet by the design table outside, immediately began to complain. "Why is Violet, that thief designer, still here? Who knows if she'll steal again?"
As soon as she spoke, other uninformed models started to grumble. "She is really an eyesore. Even thieves can be designers now? How short of designers is JK?"
"Yeah, we need to keep our branded bags and jewelry safe, or Violet might steal them."
"You don't know the truth, so stop talking nonsense, okay?" Lila Dubois, the model who had recorded the previous video, couldn't help but defend Violet. Despite Leana's privileged family background, she couldn't simply engage in slander against an innocent person.
"Lila, what do you mean? Why are you defending a thief?" a model asked curiously.
"I'm not defending her. I know Violet didn't steal; it was just a misunderstanding," Lila said.
After Lila spoke, Leana, who was sitting at the makeup table, heard it. Her eyes turned icy cold, their sharpness resembling daggers made of ice. Leana had been wondering who had provided the evidence, and now she finally knew.
"What exactly happened?" someone asked, curious.
"You say Violet didn't steal, how do you know?"
"Ask Leana!" Lila didn't want to say more. She couldn't afford to provoke Leana, so she only said half.
With Lila's words, everyone immediately turned to Leana with curiosity. Leana put down her makeup tools and turned around with a smile, though it was a cold one. "Yes, Lila is right, it was a misunderstanding."
"Really? Violet didn't steal?"
"Yes, it was a misunderstanding. Alright, everyone, stop talking about it," Leana said, glaring at Lila with a smile.
"I see, then let's not talk about it," someone said, dispersing and stopping their discussion about Violet.
The models in the makeup room dispersed, each heading off to practice their runway walks, while Lila geared up to join them on the catwalk.
Suddenly, Leana called out to her, "Lila, don't go yet. I have something to discuss with you."
Lila turned back to look at her, instinctively frowning with some fear, but still gently agreed, "Alright."
