Chapter 530 Violet, Do You Really Have to Make Him Angry to Be Happy?
Violet blushed, watched as Brady, slowly walked towards her. Her heart skipped a few beats, and shequickly tried to steady her heartbeat.
She couldn't let herself be swayed by him so easily.
She quickly averted her gaze, pushed the roses towards him, and said coldly, "Mr. Hall, thank you for the flowers and the ring, but I can't accept them."
Brady's dark eyes were fixed intently on Violet as he gently said, "Would you like to come in and sit for a while?"
"No, I just came to return these," Violet said, handing him the ring. "Here, take this back."
"I don't take back what I've given. If you don't want it, just throw it in the trash," Brady replied.
Violet was instantly shocked.
She pretended to follow his suggestion, tossing the box onto the floor by the door, "So, I'll throw it away?"
She really did throw the ring box at his feet. Then she turned to leave.
Brady was furious.
Was Violet really trying to drive him crazy?
The more Brady thought about it, the angrier he got, especially seeing Violet walk away without looking back. He quickly caught up to her. Just as she was about to step down from the porch, he grabbed her wrist and said, "I told you, I won't take it back. You throw it in the trash yourself!"
He angrily forced the ring box back into her hand.
Violet wasn't scared. Instead, she laughed inside. He really had a bad temper. Was this all the punishment she could give him? Didn't he know how to win her over?
"Mr. Hall, are you scolding me?" Violetpretended to be frightened.
Brady raised an eyebrow, realizing he had indeed been harsh with Violet. He quicklysoftened his voice, saying, "No, I just don't want see it around the house."
"Okay, then I'll throw it away."
Violet turned to leave again, but Brady blocked her path, deliberately moving closer to her and enticingly said, "Would you like to come to my place for a while?"
Brady's firm, muscular body was so close to her, and the scent of his aftershave mixed with his strong masculine presence instantly filled Violet's nostrils.
Violet's heart warmed, but she quicklysaid, "Mr. Hall, it's not convenient and it's not appropriate."
"What's inappropriate? You're my subordinate, and I'm inviting you to sit and talk about work. Ms. Devereuxe, are you refusing?" Brady said in his deep, sexy voice.
"Mr. Hall, if it's about work, can we talk tomorrow? It's a bit late now," Violet said, trying to control her heart.
Brady didn't want to wait until tomorrow. He wanted to have a good talk with her now. Ignoring Violet's refusal, he led her back into the house. "Violet, let's have a good talk."
Violet felt helpless.
She was a bit flustered inside. Was Brady going to force her?
