Chapter 833 If Darian Hadn't Met Violet, Would He Be So Persistent

Lucien wanted to see her?

What could this be about?

Violet was taken aback as she read the unexpected message.

She remembered that she and Lucien barely knew each other.

The only time they had crossed paths was when she tagged along with Emily to one of his lectures.

And that was over six months ago.

So what could this be about?

As Violet mulled over Lucien's message, Hellen, who was holding a baby, noticed her staring at her phone and not eating.

Concerned, she walked over and asked, "Violet, why aren't you eating? Is something wrong?"

"No, nothing's wrong," Violet snapped out of her thoughts, smiled at Hellen, and shook her head.

"Alright, then eat up."

"Okay." Violet put her phone down and picked up her bowl to continue eating slowly.

After finishing her meal, she hadn't decided whether to reply to Lucien.

Sitting in the dining room, she finally decided to ask Lucien why he wanted to meet her.

Otherwise, she wouldn't feel comfortable agreeing to meet.

[Professor Moreau, what do you need to talk to me about?]

Shortly after she sent the message, Lucien replied: [Yes, there's something I need to discuss with you, Mrs. Hall, but it's not suitable for text.]

It was also a bit difficult to bring up.

After all, the matter was somewhat tricky and awkward.

Violet hesitated for a moment before replying: [Is it important?]

Lucien: [Yes, very important.]

Violet thought about it.

Lucien, someone she had no real connection with, suddenly wanted to talk.

She could only think it might be about Emily. Otherwise, she couldn't figure out any other reason.

Thinking it might be about Emily, Violet didn't hesitate any longer: [Professor Moreau, let's meet at the café at 1:30.]

Lucien: [Alright, Mrs. Hall, see you then.]

After setting the meeting time, Violet put down her phone and went to spend time with the three kids.

Time flew by, and soon it was the afternoon.

Violet asked Hellen and the nanny to help put the three kids to sleep before she went to meet Lucien.

At the café, Violet was led by a server to a quieter table inside.

Lucien was already there waiting for her.

Violet glanced at him and politely greeted, "Hello, Professor Moreau."

"Hello, Mrs. Hall. Please, have a seat." Lucien stood up like a gentleman and invited her to sit.

Violet took the seat opposite him.

"Mrs. Hall, would you like something to drink? The coffee here is quite good," Lucien said as he sat down.

"I'll have some lemon water. I'm breastfeeding, so I can't have coffee," Violet smiled and declined.

"My apologies, I forgot," Lucien said, feeling a bit embarrassed.

He couldn't help but look at the beautiful woman in front of him and wonder if things would have been different if Darian hadn't met Violet. Would he be so persistent?

But life was unpredictable.

They met, but they weren't the right partners for each other.

After a moment of reflection, Lucien decided to get straight to the point. "Mrs. Hall, the reason I asked you to meet today is because of Darian."

Darian? Violet's eyebrows raised slightly as she remembered that Darian and Lucien knew each other.

So he wanted to meet because of Darian, not her friend Emily?

"Professor Moreau, is there something going on with Mr. Voss?"

Lucien nodded, his expression serious. "I know he recently signed with your company, JK, but Mrs. Hall."

Before he could finish, Emily walked into the café and spotted them. "Violet, what are you doing here?"

Emily's excitement quickly turned to surprise as she noticed who was sitting across from Violet.

Her cheerful expression froze.

When she first walked in, she hadn't noticed Lucien. She only saw Violet and hurried over to greet her, only to realize Lucien was there too.
