Chapter 346 Violet Completely Relaxed
That dinner was somewhat "extraordinarily ordinary". Violet did not suspect that Brady already knew Henry and Nicole were his children. She only worried that he couldn't let go of the matter. So, after a couple of days without Brady bringing it up, she completely relaxed and stopped thinking about it.
The fashion show design was slowly approaching, and the yacht party was also just around the corner.
This yacht party would be attended by the upper class, including Arthur and Aiden.
Naturally, the city's socialites were eager to participate.
Violet knew she couldn't avoid attending it this time, but she didn't want to be overly dramatic and decided to go with the flow.
After all, she had already made up her mind that once Brady got tired of her, she could easily distance herself from his entanglements and focus on her career and raising her children.
Before the yacht party began, Brady wanted to spend some time with the children. Now that he knew they were his, he tried to provide them with the best material life.
However, if he openly invited the children out to play, not only would Violet's aunt disapprove, but Violet herself would also be unhappy.
So, he came up with a plan and arranged for the trustworthy Taylor to send Violet's aunt a $10,000 gift card that could be spent at the international shopping center.
The credits in this card was enough to buy the children some nice clothes and toys.
When Taylor delivered it, Hellen did not recognize him and looked at him warily, asking, "Hello, who are you looking for?"
Taylor smiled and asked, "Are you Mrs. Patton?"
Hellen nodded. "I am. What do you need from me?"
Taylor said, "I'm a staff member at the international shopping center. You were selected as a lucky customer during your last visit, and we are giving you a $10,000 gift card."
As he spoke, Taylor handed the gift card to Hellen.
Hellen took the card in disbelief, her eyes wide with astonishment. "Are you serious? I don't remember spending much last time." She had only taken the children to play once and bought some snacks, spending a total of $100.
Spending just $100 won her a $10,000 gift card—could this be a scam?
Hellen was skeptical. "Are you trying to trick me?"
Taylor maintained his polite smile and said, "Mrs. Patton, why would we trick you? Our shopping center is running a promotion, and you were chosen. Additionally, to show our care for our lucky customers, we have arranged transportation to take you to the shopping center."
"Transportation too?" Hellen was even more skeptical and returned the card to Taylor, politely declining. "Thank you, but I can't take the children and get into a stranger's car."
If it were just her, it wouldn't matter much; she was an old lady, and no one would target her. But she had to take care of the two kids, and who knew if it would be safe?
"Lady Hall, if you don't want to take our car, you can take a taxi, and we'll reimburse the fare," Taylor said, worried she might refuse. This was Brady's idea, and failure was not an option. He handed the card back to Hellen, saying, "The promotion ends today, so don't miss out."
"I can go there myself?" Hellen asked; she was tempted. $10,000 was a lot, and with autumn approaching, she needed to buy some fall clothes for the kids.
"Of course," Taylor said.
"Let me check with my niece first." Hellen hesitated and then stepped aside to call Violet.
When Violet heard about it, she initially advised against going. But after Hellen explained the details, she agreed, telling her to take the kids and a taxi since the shopping center would be crowded.
If anything happened, there would be plenty of people to help.
