Chapter 729 You Are Not Allowed to Have Much Interaction with Her in the Future
"I was at that meeting with my family, and honestly, I didn't want to be there. But, you know, they're my family, and I couldn't convince them otherwise," Charlotte said, glancing at Violet. "Mrs. Hall, I know my aunt's family has done some awful things to you. My dad loves his sister a lot, so he just went along with them."
"I want to apologize for their actions today," Charlotte continued.
Calliope felt sympathetic and turned to Violet. "Violet, Charlotte's a good person. She hasn't caused any trouble for Brady at the company, and she hasn't come after you. I don't think she's in cahoots with Eileen."
"Plus, she got hurt today because of us, the Hall Group. We can't be so heartless, can we?"
"Mrs. Hall, I'm truly sorry," Charlotte apologized again.
Calliope pleaded with Violet from the side.
Violet found it hard to stay firm. After a moment of thought, she said, "We'll discuss this further when Brady gets back."
Though her words were noncommittal, Calliope knew Violet had agreed.
She nodded quickly, "Thank you, Violet."
Charlotte followed suit, bowing slightly. "Thank you, Mrs. Hall."
Violet responded absentmindedly, feeling a bit annoyed.
She wasn't sure if Charlotte was as deceitful as Eileen, but she had already agreed to let her stay.
There was no taking back her words now.
Charlotte would have to stay.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at Crystal Bay Apartments.
Charlotte could have gotten out of the car on her own, but Calliope worried she might faint from blood loss on the way home, so she insisted on accompanying her to the door.
After they got out, Brady instructed the driver to head back to the mansion.
Calliope walked Charlotte to her apartment door. She wanted to go inside, but Charlotte didn't want her to.
Charlotte pretended it was inconvenient, saying, "My grandparents aren't doing well because of my aunt's situation. I can't invite you in today."
"I'll invite you over when they're feeling better."
Calliope didn't push. "Alright, take care and rest up. Brady won't fire you."
"Thank you for speaking up for me," Charlotte pretended to be grateful, holding Calliope's hand.
Calliope, naive and simple-minded, smiled. "No problem. I believe you're not like Lilian and the others."
"Okay, take care on your way back," Charlotte said, eager to get rid of her.
Calliope nodded, waved, and took the elevator downstairs.
As soon as Calliope left, Charlotte dropped her act, sneering coldly at the elevator door.
Today was her first encounter with Violet.
Violet didn't seem very sharp.
She probably wouldn't be much of a challenge.
Charlotte suddenly felt much more confident about her prospects.
Meanwhile, Brady and Violet returned to the mansion.
Brady, worried Violet might still be jealous, pampered her with tenderness, making it impossible for her to resist.
They kissed and cuddled, and Violet tugged at his half-open shirt, saying, "You better not have too much interaction with her from now on, got it?"
"What interaction could I possibly have with her? It's all business," Brady reassured her, fearing her jealousy.
In truth, he didn't want to keep Charlotte around at all.
If it weren't for her getting hurt because of the Hall Group.
"You've been pampering me all evening. Are you feeling guilty?" Violet teased.
Brady laughed, "I'm not guilty, I'm just afraid you'll be jealous, so I'm pampering you."
He paused, gently biting her shoulder, leaving a mark. "I don't want to keep her. If you hadn't spoken up earlier, I wouldn't have softened."
Anyone who hurt Violet wouldn't be kept around.
"Is it my fault then?" Violet asked, her body tingling from his bite, biting her lip.
"I wouldn't dare say that. Don't worry, I won't have any interaction with her," Brady said, biting her shoulder again.
His desire was rising again.
But he had to hold back.
