Chapter 542 I Hope Violet Will Be Happy with Mr. Hall
Emily just said it casually and then started drinking her milk.
Violet, however, froze as if struck by lightning, holding her milk cupand said, "How is that possible? I haven't had sex with him that often, and I've been taking my pills."
Violet explained frantically, but the more she explained, the more Emily blushed. She was still unmarried!
"I was just talking nonsense. You don't have to share the intimate details between you and Mr. Hall to make me jealous," Emily said with a smile.
Hellen came out of the kitchen with a plate of fried eggs, saw both of them blushing, and curiously asked, "What are you two talking about?"
"We're not talking about anything," Violet said, putting down her milk cup.
"Eat more, I'll go check if Henry and Nicole are awake," Hellen said, putting down the plate.
After Hellen left, Violet pressed her forehead and said, "Should I buy a pregnancy test? Come to think of it, my period seems to be late."
She thought a week late was normal.
But she decided to take a test to be sure, even though she thought it was unlikely she was pregnant.
"If you're worried, just take a test. If you are pregnant, you have to tell me. I'll be a godmother again," Emily said.
Violet wasn't as happy, sighing, "My career is just starting. If I have a baby now, it would be very inconvenient."
"Just take the test first. You might not be pregnant," Emily said, knowing Violet was career-driven.
"Yes, I might not be pregnant, maybe it's just a stomach issue," Violet said, starting to eat some other breakfast.
After breakfast, Emily gave her a ride to the company.
Passing by a pharmacy, Emily stopped the car, and Violet quickly got out to buy two pregnancy tests.
She relaxed and went to work after putting the tests back in her bag.
At JK, Violet had just sat down in her office when Max came over.
Unlike his previous enthusiasm, since finding out Violet was Brady's woman, Max didn't dare to fantasize anymore. He said to Violet, "Violet, Stellar Entertainment wants to discuss the dress design with you this Friday. Don't forget."
"I got it, Mr. Green." Violet nodded.
"Around 10 AM, you need to go to Stellar Entertainment in person."
"Okay."
"Get back to work," Max said, looking at Violet with a complicated expression. He realized he had no chance.
He just hoped Violet would be happy with Brady.
Max was silently heartbroken for a moment before returning to his office.
Passing by Olivia's office, he noticed her door was still closed and asked a designer passing by, "Olivia didn't come?"
The designer nodded. "She took leave from HR."
"Leave? Didn't she already take leave yesterday?" Although Olivia had connections, the company still had its rules.
"I don't know," the female designer said.
She had only heard it from HR.
"Okay," Max said, unable to get more information, and decided to ask HR himself.
Even with connections, she couldn't keep taking leave too often.
