Chapter 403 The Entire JK Would Be in Trouble If He Was in Danger
Leana's words cut deep, and the patients passing by threw some seriously weird looks at Violet.
Violet took all the nasty stares and Leana's trash talk, then turned to the two bodyguards next to her and said, "Get her outta here, or when Brady wakes up and I spill the beans, you guys can kiss your jobs goodbye."
She sounded all tough, but inside, she was sweating bullets, not sure if the bodyguards would actually listen. But she had to try something.
All she wanted was to wait alone for Brady to come out safe.
No drama, no fuss.
To her surprise, the bodyguards actually dragged Leana away as she said.
Leana went nuts, screaming down the hospital corridor, "Violet, you jerk! I'll tell the Hall family, and they won't let you off the hook!"
Violet just rolled her eyes and stayed put by the emergency room door, waiting for Brady.
Leana's voice eventually faded away.
Violet found a spot to sit and wait when her phone buzzed in her pocket.
It was Max.
She swiped to answer.
Max's voice was all panicky, "Violet, how's Mr. Hall? Is he okay? Is it bad?" The whole thing at the show was a mess. People were shoving, and he couldn't see squat. He saw Brady rush over, then the structure fell on Brady's foot.
He freaked out. If something happened to Brady, JK would be in deep trouble, and so would he.
Especially since he was in charge of the show, and now this mess happened, his job was on the line.
"Mr. Green, I don't know yet. Mr. Hall's still in emergency care," Violet said, staring at the red light above the emergency room door.
She had no clue what was going on inside.
"I'll be there soon. Just take care of Mr. Hall," Max said, sounding super stressed.
He didn't have time to wonder why Brady rushed out. Was it to save Violet, or was it just bad timing?
Right now, all that mattered was Brady's safety. If he was okay, they'd be fine. If not, Max was screwed.
"Mr. Green, don't worry, I got this." Violet took a deep breath, her fingers gripping her dress, waiting anxiously.
Max sighed, "Okay, I'll leave it to you for now. I'll be there as soon as I can wrap things up with the show manager."
"Okay." After hanging up, Violet looked back at the emergency room light.
Two minutes later, the red light finally turned green. Surgery was over.
Violet jumped up and rushed to the door.
The door opened, and the doctor and nurses carefully wheeled Brady out. Since Brady was a big shot at their hospital, they treated him with extra care.
Thanks to quick and professional care, Brady wasn't in serious condition.
But he wouldn't be walking anytime soon and needed about ten days of rest.
