Chapter 876 Bad Guy, Let Go of Nicole
"What are you standing around for? Get to the Hall Mansion first, then come back and pack for the airport," Darian snapped, growing impatient as Alaric stood there, frozen.
Alaric shook himself out of it, nodded quickly, and headed back to the car.
But he couldn't just let Darian keep going down this path, so he reached out to Lucien for help one more time.
Lucien had already decided he was done with Alaric.
After their last blowout, they weren't friends anymore, and Lucien saw no reason to invite more trouble.
However, Alaric's relentless messages wore him down, and knowing he was headed to the Hall Mansion, Lucien couldn't help but feel a twinge of their friendship.
He hesitated, worried that Brady might mess things up for Darian, and finally softened, deciding to drive to the Hall Mansion.
Twenty minutes later, Darian arrived at the Hall Mansion first.
He got out of the car and went straight to ring the doorbell.
Hellen opened the door and was momentarily surprised to see Darian, but she smiled warmly and invited him in without any hesitation.
Hellen was unaware of the bad blood between Violet and Darian.
Darian followed her inside without any pretense.
In the living room, Nicole and Henry were playing with toys, while the youngest baby was being fed by the nanny.
Darian's eyes darkened as he looked around, especially when he saw Henry, who resembled Brady. A hidden anger flared up in his eyes, and he clenched his fingers slightly before turning to Hellen. "Hellen, I'm a bit thirsty. Could you make me some juice?"
"Sure, just a moment," Hellen replied with a smile, treating him like family. "Darian, have a seat. I'll make it for you."
"Thank you, Hellen," Darian said with a warm smile.
Hellen went to the kitchen to make the juice, completely at ease.
Darian stood there for a moment before slowly walking over to Nicole.
He pulled a strawberry-flavored lollipop from his pocket and offered it to her. "Nicole, would you like some candy?"
Nicole recognized him and nodded sweetly. "Yes, please."
"I'll give it to you," Darian said as he began unwrapping the lollipop.
Once unwrapped, he didn't hand it to her immediately but instead asked, "Nicole, where's your trash can? Can you throw this wrapper away for me?"
Nicole was happy to help. She took the wrapper from him and went to throw it in the trash can by the door.
Seeing this, Darian got up and slowly walked over. When he reached the trash can, he gently patted Nicole's head and said, "Nicole, here's your candy."
Nicole took the candy with a smile and was about to eat it when she suddenly remembered that Henry didn't have any. She reached out her other hand and asked Darian, "For Henry..."
"I only brought one lollipop with me, so I can't give one to Henry. But I have plenty in my car. How about I take you to get some?" Darian said gently, taking her hand.
Nicole nodded obediently, eating her candy as she followed him towards the door.
Henry, who had been playing with a toy robot on the living room floor, saw Nicole leaving with Darian and quickly stood up, holding his toy robot as he chased after them. "Nicole, where are you going?"
Nicole turned back and said, "To get candy!"
Darian smiled and said, "Henry, I'm taking Nicole to get some candy. Wait here for a bit."
Henry didn't trust him and stared at him, ready to grab Nicole's hand. "No, Nicole can't go anywhere."
She was his sister, and no one could take her away.
Unless Mom, Dad, or Hellen said it was okay.
Otherwise, it was a no.
Seeing how difficult Henry was being, Darian didn't want to waste any more time. He picked up Nicole and quickly walked out the door.
Henry realized Darian was trying to take Nicole away.
He threw his toy robot at Darian, shouting, "Bad man, let go of Nicole!"
Darian ignored him, crushed the toy underfoot, and hurriedly got into the car with Nicole.
The car roared to life and sped away from the Hall Mansion.
