Chapter 115: If You Don't Ask, I'll Handle It for You, But You Need to Consider the Agreement
Brady Hall, Arthur Stanley, and Carson Bowar walked to the door of the ward. Arthur Stanley and Carson Bowar entered first to see Loraine. Brady Hall stood at the door, his gaze deep as he looked at the woman sitting silently on the bench, wondering what she was thinking.
A faint tug at the corner of his thin lips, he spoke in a deep voice, "Miss Mu, is there anything you want to say to me?" When he came up earlier, he encountered Max. It seems like this man has become addicted to playing matchmaker, begging him to forgive Violet, taking the blame on his own.
Heh, this woman is quite capable; there was Aiden White before, and now Max Green.
Brady thought coldly, completely unaware of the jealousy hidden in his words and thoughts.
When Violet Devereux heard his voice and snapped out of her thoughts, she immediately said, "Mr. Gu, I'm sorry. I will handle this matter properly, without bringing any negative impact to JK and the Hall family."
"How do you plan to resolve it?" Brady Hall continued to ask. In plain words, he wanted to say: If you don't ask, I'll handle it for you, but you need to consider the previous agreement. Although he believed he didn't lack women, he couldn't say it.
"When Miss Plahn is willing to see me, I will explain," Violet said calmly with a warm voice. "However, she doesn't want to see me at the moment."
After Violet Devereux finished speaking, Brady pondered for a moment and said, "Come with me later." He wanted to see how she would handle it.
Upon hearing his words, Violet was initially startled, not knowing if he intended to help her or what.
Since he was willing to take her in, she would thank him.
"Thank you, Mr. Gu."
Seeing that she didn't say anything else, Brady walked into the ward with long strides. Violet stood up and quickly followed. This time, with Brady leading the way, the bodyguards did not dare to stop Violet. They respectfully let her pass.
Inside the ward, Loraine, who had already recovered, had a slightly swollen face but overall looked fine. At this moment, Loraine was clinging to her fiancé Carson Bowar, complaining about her swollen face.
Carson lovingly stroked her hair and comforted her, saying it would be all right by tomorrow.
The two were affectionate with each other. Finding it all boring, Arthur wanted to leave. As he turned around, he saw Brady came in, followed by the beautiful Violet from the Devereux family. The boredom I felt just moments ago dissipated instantly.
What is the general manager of his family trying to convey now? Arthur planned to stay a little longer and observe. As soon as Violet entered, Loraine, who was once affectionate towards her, immediately became furious and pointed at Violet, saying, "Who let you in? Get out!"
Carson glanced at Violet and Brady, then held back Loraine's hand, saying, "Don't be like this; she is a member of the Gu Corporation."
"So what? My older brother and my cousin, who I grew up with, I refuse to believe that he would favor an employee who wants to harm me," Loraine Plahn pouted and said to Brady.
Brady calmly spoke, "Mr. Green from JK explained this matter to me. He said he didn't know you were allergic to mangoes."
"Who knows if she did it on purpose?" Loraine complained. She had a photoshoot the next day; her face needed to be camera-ready, otherwise, she wouldn't have been so angry.
After listening to Loraine vent her anger, Violet bypassed Brady and approached the bed where Loraine sat. She sincerely and humbly apologized, "Miss Plahn, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were allergic to mangoes. I hope you won't be angry. If there's anything you need me to do, I can do it now."
Her submissive attitude made Loraine feel sorry for her. Gone was the pride of the former New York beauty. Arthur couldn't help but sigh at how miserable she looked. If the Devereux family hadn't gone through all those troubles, Violet could have had a better life. But life is unpredictable.
"Get out! I don't need any explanation," Loraine got even angrier every time she saw Violet. If this matter hadn't occurred, she could still work with her for the wedding dresses, but now, she ruined her schedule for tomorrow. Tomorrow's program is crucial. She must appear on camera, but who knows if the swelling on her face would disappear? The more Loraine thought about it, the angrier she got. She picked up the orange Carson had just handed her and threw it at Violet without thinking. Violet didn't dodge. She had to get Loraine's cooperation, so she didn't avoid it at all. Just as the orange was about to hit her face, Brady acted quickly and pulled her forcefully into his arms, his voice cold as he questioned, "What's wrong with you?"
Isn't it obvious when the eyes grow wide?
Don't you know how to hide?
