Chapter 298 She Was Annoyed
After Violet and Brady finished dining at the restaurant, he first took her back to the mansion. At the mansion's entrance, he had other matters to attend to and couldn't stay with her, so he said, "Going back to JK tomorrow?"
Violet nodded slightly, inwardly cursing Brady, but obediently replied, "Okay."
‘If I don't go back, wouldn't he pester me every day?' Violet really didn't want to return to the Hall Group.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow." Brady reached out and gently stroked Violet's smooth, long hair. Now that she was willing to be with him, he felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.
He hadn't felt this way in a long time.
His heart felt like it was filled with something, a bit sweet.
Violet glanced at Brady, somewhat unhappy about him picking her up. "Our relationship can't be exposed, right?"
"Even if it can't be exposed, I can still pick you up. I'll drop you off in front of the company." Brady didn't seem to mind the issue, although he indeed hadn't planned to make their relationship public.
Firstly, it was an office romance, and Brady didn't want to encourage others to imitate it. Secondly, his relationship with Violet was a private matter, and he had no interest in exposing it to everyone.
Violet really didn't want Brady to pick her up, but seeing his expression, she knew refusing was useless, so she agreed.
The two then chatted a bit about company matters. Violet got out of the car, and Brady drove off to attend to his business.
Violet watched his luxury car disappear into the distance, subconsciously biting her lip. 'Our relationship couldn't be like a normal boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, right?'
But Violet didn't want to care anymore; she wasn't going to be with Brady forever.
Once Brady got tired of her, she could completely get rid of him and wouldn't have to worry about him pestering her or taking her babies.
Violet withdrew her gaze and went back to the mansion to check on the two babies.
Around 7:30 PM, the darkness outside gradually deepened, and the sky began to fill with twinkling stars. Violet and her aunt bathed the two little ones together.
After the bath, Violet fed them some formula and then held them on the crawling mat in the living room to watch TV.
Emily had to accompany her parents to a social event tonight and probably wouldn't be back until around 10 PM.
Emily had texted Violet in advance, telling her not to wait up and also informing her that she had found a friend abroad who could ensure the paternity test would be foolproof and definitely show a mismatch.
Violet felt relieved, holding Nicole and watching a parenting show with her. After a while, her phone vibrated.
She didn't notice at first, but Henry heard the vibration, curiously picked up her phone, and pointed at the screen with his little finger, saying, "Mama... phone..."
Henry couldn't pronounce "phone" very well.
Fortunately, Violet understood and took the phone from his hand to check it.
It was a message from Brady: [I'm at Ashbourne Manor No. 2, come over to my place.]
Violet was stunned when she saw the message. 'Ashbourne Manor No. 2? Isn't that near the residence where I live? Did he buy this residence this afternoon just to be closer to me? It's not impossible because he really is wealthy and powerful. Did he especially purchase a billion-dollar mansion just to be close to me?'
After reading the message, although she was extremely reluctant to see him, she had agreed to date him. If she didn't go, he would definitely feel something was off.
She felt a bit irritated, she just wanted to spend time with her children now and didn't want a man.
