Chapter 839 Her Memory and Thinking Have Not Yet Recovered
The next morning, just as the sky began to lighten, Brady and Eddy set out early for Stag Mountain to meet Jade.
Stag Mountain had a small residential area, considered a cultural heritage village, where Jade had settled.
When Brady and Eddy arrived at the village, Eddy went to ask around.
After some inquiries, they finally found out where Jade lived.
They went to visit her, but when they rang the doorbell, there was no response.
Eddy thought Jade might not want to see them and was about to ask Brady what to do next.
He turned around to see Brady staring intently at some deep scratch marks and dried bloodstains on the door.
Brady, having been a mercenary, was very sensitive to blood.
The dried blood didn't look old; it seemed like it was from last night.
The center was crimson, with dark red edges.
After a few seconds of observation, Brady said, "Eddy, no need to knock. Let's go in."
Eddy was puzzled. "Mr. Hall, isn't this breaking?"
"Someone was here last night before us," Brady said, his brow furrowed.
"What?" Eddy was shocked. Did Brady mean someone had come to find Jade?
"Let's go in," Brady said, pushing the door open.
Eddy snapped out of it and quickly followed.
Inside, the large courtyard was in disarray, with some torn paper on the ground and a white sweater discarded in the hallway.
The place was empty.
"Mr. Hall, Jade is gone?" Eddy said anxiously after searching the place.
"Someone took her," Brady said coldly.
It seemed someone didn't want him to ask Jade for help.
Brady didn't even need to investigate to guess who had taken her.
"Mr. Hall, should we call the police?" Eddy asked, regaining his composure.
Brady thought for a moment and said, "Let's go back to New Future City."
He knew who had taken Jade.
But what good would it do? Did they think this would help them take Violet away from him?
"By the way, the joint design company I asked you to look into last time, give the information to Mrs. Hall bit by bit," Brady instructed.
He wanted Violet to see Darian's true colors herself, rather than him being the bad guy.
Eddy understood, "Mr. Hall, I know what to do."
New Future City, JK Office.
Today was Darian's first day working inside JK, and all the single female designers were excited. They had heard about this genius designer in the fashion world.
But they never had the chance to meet him.
They couldn't believe Violet had managed to invite him over, allowing everyone to see him in person.
All the female designers were watching Darian.
He was indeed as talented and handsome as the rumors said.
He was quite handsome.
They kept glancing at Darian, but his eyes were only on Violet.
Especially since he knew Brady wouldn't be back right away.
With a subtle smile, he said to Violet, "Ms. Devereux, the design competition is starting soon. Do you have any ideas?"
"Not much inspiration at the moment, but I plan to visit an art exhibition to find some," Violet replied honestly.
She had been feeling a bit empty-headed lately, with no ideas coming to mind.
Maybe it was because she had just had a baby, and her memory and thinking hadn't fully recovered, leaving her mind a bit drained.
