Chapter 302 Determined to Pursue Violet

Max noticed Violet's expression as she pondered and couldn't tell if she was willing. He asked, "So, do you have the confidence to take on this project with me?"

"Sure, I'll take it." This time, Violet agreed without hesitation.

Violet would strive to make herself more outstanding so that she could establish herself in this big city and society. She used to be a pampered young lady of the upper class, untouched by worldly corruption. But later, her father cheated, and the harsh reality shattered Violet's princess dream early on.

Violet was no longer the princess of the Devereux family living in a mansion, nor the carefree heiress who could receive tens of thousands of dollars in allowance every month without working.

She was just an ordinary person now.

So she had to become wealthy to buy a house and provide a better life for her two children.

"That's good." Max felt relieved when Violet agreed, but then he saw her beautiful face and felt a slight pang in his heart.

Max had always liked Violet's type, but every time he wanted to confess, he missed the chance.

Max thought he should say it now. He didn't need to be too straightforward, just hint a little.

With this in mind, Max cleared his throat, ready to subtly hint at his feelings for Violet. But before he could say anything, Violet spoke first, "By the way, Mr. Green, is it just the two of us for this show?"

Violet always felt that Max was too kind to her, giving her all the good design projects.

This led to other designers in the office being jealous of Violet. She was afraid it would be the same this time.

Originally, everyone's perception of Violet had improved a bit, but if Max still favored her, they would definitely have opinions again.

"No, there are a few other designers. We're forming a team to take on this show together." Max's train of thought for his confession was interrupted, and he had to answer Violet's question first.

Violet breathed a sigh of relief, and a charming smile appeared on her pretty face. "That sounds great. I've never had the chance to work on a team before, so it's a fantastic opportunity to pick up some tips from our senior designers." She actually felt it wasn't fair to receive preferential treatment just a few months after joining, considering the other designers were just as capable as her.

"Mr. Green, is there anything else? If not, I'll get back to work." Violet said as she prepared to get up. Seeing this, Max felt a heavy heart and decided to confess. So he immediately said, "Violet Devereux, wait a minute... I have something else..."

"What is it, Mr. Green?" Violet sat back down and asked.

Max looked at Violet, his fingers lightly resting on the back of his hand, and asked nervously, "It's nothing major, just... do you have a boyfriend?"

Max's abrupt question made Violet pause for a moment. Then she suddenly realized something and quickly said awkwardly, "No, I'm not considering dating at the moment."

"Maybe not for the next two years," Violet added.

Violet knew that Max had some feelings for her, but she was currently being pestered by Brady. She can't shake him off, and the idea of adding Max to the mix is out of the question.

She still have to work hard to make money and raise her kids!

"I see..." A hint of embarrassment inevitably appeared on Max's somewhat handsome face, since her answer effectively sidestepped his question.

If she didn't want to date for two years, she probably wouldn't accept his confession.

'Should I continue to pursue her?' Max thought about it and decided he couldn't give up. Violet was exceptional in many ways and perfectly suited his preferences. He was determined not to let these challenges deter him.

Max was determined to pursue Violet.
