Chapter 1011
"I heard Mr. Winston call her Miss Jenkins. When did Watertown have a Jenkins family?"
"There are people with the last name Jenkins, but none of them are from any prominent families."
"A woman's beauty is indeed her most effective tool. Even Mr. Winston is captivated by her."
"Have you all forgotten the scandalous divorce four years ago? There's still no clear explanation about Mr. Winston and his wife's divorce."
"They must be divorced. Otherwise, why hasn't Mrs. Winston appeared in public for four years?"
"That's true. Watertown's first beauty has been in the news almost every month since she returned to Watertown. She probably couldn't stay in Watertown after the divorce and moved abroad."
"Don't you think that Miss Jenkins just now looks a bit like Mrs. Winston from four years ago?"
"She really does."
At the entrance of the banquet hall, the ladies were engaged in lively discussions, and behind them stood three children.
Owen clenched his fists tightly. "In the past four years, Dad hasn't let any woman get close to him. This Miss Jenkins must be Mom!"
"I've checked. There is indeed a Jenkins family in Brussville," Todd said softly.
"Those ladies just said that Miss Jenkins looks like Mom. That's must be right," Keith said, pressing his lips together. "But if she really is Mom, why would Dad hide it from us?"
"As Angela said, Mom is very likely suffering from amnesia," Todd replied. "Let's sit in a corner and observe first inside. Don't act rashly and ruin Dad's plan."
Owen nodded. "Okay, I'll stay calm."
The three children pulled down the brims of their baseball caps and blended into the crowd entering the venue.
As soon as Camilla entered the hall, a staff member responsible for liaising with her approached. "Ms. Jenkins, you're even younger and more beautiful than in the video."
They had always communicated via video conference, so this was their first meeting in person.
Camilla extended her hand to shake Kieran Stewart's. "Mr. Stewart, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Kieran was just about to shake Camilla's, when he suddenly felt a chill on the back of his neck.
He saw Ivan standing a step away, whose gaze was as cold and sharp as two knives.
Kieran quickly withdrew his hand, trying hard to ignore the unfriendly stare. "Ms. Jenkins, why don't we chat in the lounge?"
Camilla was about to nod when Ivan walked over. Ivan was very tall, and as he approached, he seemed to block the overhead crystal lights, casting a shadow.
He spoke nonchalantly, "Mr. Stewart, may I have a word with Miss Jenkins first?"
Kieran was stunned. He was just a staff member and naturally didn't know Ivan. But from the moment Ivan looked at him, he felt that Ivan had a strong possessiveness towards Camilla.
Moreover, Kieran couldn't withstand the pressure under Ivan's terrifying gaze.
"Then, Ms. Jenkins, we'll talk later." Kieran swallowed hard and turned to greet other guests.
Camilla pursed her rosy lips and turned her eyes slightly. "May I ask what Mr. Winston wants to talk about?"
"Miss Jenkins, let's go to the lounge first."
Ivan took long strides towards the lounge.
Camilla frowned slightly. Countless eyes in the banquet hall were on Ivan, while many men's eyes were on her.
If she really stayed in the lounge with Ivan for a while, there would probably be a lot of rumors.
She was going to be his secretary later. If such rumors spread, her days in Watertown would be very difficult.
