Chapter 650
No matter what event happened, Haley always seemed to be able to calmly plan the next step.
When she found out Ivan was dead, shouldn't she have been crying her eyes out? Why did she still have the mind to discuss a deal with him?
Martin leisurely asked, "What kind of deal?"
"I can keep your secret, but you have to tell me where did you send Ivan to,"
Haley said, enunciating each word clearly.
No matter what, she didn't believe Ivan was dead.Upon hearing Haley's words, Martin's face instantly turned icy.
Ivan! Ivan again!
For Ivan, Haley could pretend to be friendly with him for so many days!
For Ivan, Haley could even take this secret to her grave!
Did she love Ivan that much?
Martin raised his hand and gripped Haley's chin, speaking coldly and deliberately, "Am I not right in front of you?"
Haley squinted her eyes. "Is there any point in continuing this charade?"
"I am Ivan, the real one. Unless you can find evidence that I'm not Ivan, everything you say is nonsense." Martin coldly pushed Haley away.
He pulled out a tissue, seemingly disgusted, and wiped his fingers.
"Haley, you'd better to behave. Don't play any more tricks with me, because I have countless ways to make you suffer." He disdainfully kicked Pitt, who was lying on the ground, "Make sure he keeps his mouth shut. If any word gets out, I'll kill him first."
With that, Martin opened the door and walked out.
Haley collapsed onto the ground. After a while, the grief finally overwhelmed her, and she buried her face in her knees, crying out loud.
After a painful cry, she gradually calmed down.
Haley called the doctor to transfer Pitt to another hospital. Only then did she change into her own clothes and go to handle the discharge procedures.
As soon as Haley walked out of the hospital room, Robert came around the corner of the hallway. "Madam, do you have any instructions?"
Haley sneered. "Do I need to report to you what I want to do?"
Robert didn't dare to look directly at Haley's bloodshot eyes and lowered his head. "Mr. Winston instructed me to protect you closely."
Whether it was protection or surveillance, Haley couldn't be bothered to inquire further.
After she completed the discharge procedures, she took a cab directly back to the Winston residence from the back door of the hospital.
Without the children, the Winston residence was eerily quiet.
"Madam."
The servants in the villa greeted her respectfully, none of them expecting Haley, who was supposed to be hospitalized, to suddenly return.
Haley asked indifferently, "Where is Mrs. Winston?"
Alfred stepped forward, "Mrs. Winston went out to attend a party and will be back later. Is there anything you need?"
"Nothing," Haley said as she sat down on the sofa in the living room. "I'm a bit hungry. Could you make me something to eat?"
Alfred immediately arranged for the chef to prepare food.
He glanced at Haley, feeling that she was also acting strangely. He didn't dare to ask more and went to the yard to do other tasks.
The food was quickly prepared, and Haley ate heartily in the dining room.
For the past few days, Haley had been pretending to be a weak patient, starving herself for days, leaving her physically weak. This had led to her not being able to gain the initiative immediately in the hospital room earlier, resulting in Pitt getting hurt.
After the meal, Haley sat on the sofa in the living room with her laptop to handle company matters.
As the sky gradually darkened, Brenda returned from the party. As she was changing her shoes in the foyer, she saw Haley suddenly walking towards her.
