When Ariana returned to Star Technical Company, she was in a daze.
She washed her face in the restroom, covered the finger marks on her face, and then knocked on Haley's office door.
"Haley, I'm back."
Haley was reviewing project documents and didn't have time to look up, but she sensed something was off in Ariana's voice.
Haley closed the document and looked up, her eyes narrowing suddenly. "What happened to your face?"
"It's nothing." Ariana hesitated. "I should tell you about today's meeting."
Haley stood up and walked over quickly. As she got closer, the slap marks on Ariana's face became more apparent.
Her eyes turned cold. "Who hit you?"
Ariana hung her head, feeling extremely guilty.
Haley had been preoccupied with her divorce in recent days, and now even when Ariana represented her at the meeting, trouble had found its way to her.
As Haley's assistant, she felt utterly useless.
Haley pursed her lips and took the documents from Ariana's arms.
After just reading a page, she chuckled in anger.

Haley's eyes narrowed. "Were the representatives from the Lumi Group people present today?"

"Was it Hollis or Ava who hit you?" Haley interrupted her calmly.

Ariana hurriedly chased after her. "Haley, where are you going? There are reporters outside."
