Chapter 125 Phone Call Interruptions

Anderson and Haley shook hands and exchanged a few polite words.

Haley smiled and said, "Thanks to my cousin’s help, everything will go smoothly."

The office location was arranged by a cousin, and the few programmers in the office were also introduced by him.

Without this cousin's help, her studio would surely be in chaos.

Anderson speculated silently that perhaps Haley was just a figurehead, and not actually involved in the company.

However, Anderson, seasoned in the workplace, knew better than to show too much emotion in front of a business partner. He proceeded professionally, saying, "Ms. Haley, let's discuss the initial design plan for this project."

Buzz, buzz, buzz.

Haley's phone vibrated on the table.

She glanced at the caller ID, seeing that it was Thomas, and promptly ended the call. "Apologies, Mr. Anderson, please continue..."

Anderson nodded. "I glanced at the proposal. You are using the Visual Studio programming method, transforming the traditional modules---"

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

Haley's phone vibrated once again.

She quickly glanced at it, and it was still Thomas.

This guy hardly ever called her, and now he had called twice in a row. It must be something important.

"Ms. Haley, you should answer the call first." Anderson leaned back in his chair, making room for her.

Haley smiled apologetically at Anderson and answered the call. She lowered her voice and said, "I hope this is something important."

"Haley, I helped you with something so important, and you didn't even bother to call and thank me..." Thomas let out a light sigh. "I don't care, but you must give me a gift as a token of gratitude!"

Thomas had discovered the loophole in the DeRoss Group's accounts the last time.

Haley had already bought a gift to send to the Ellenstein family. When she received this call, she instantly lost any desire to send it.

She sneered and said, "Mr. Thomas, since you're so wealthy, you probably won't appreciate the gift I bought. I'd rather save some money and buy myself a dress."

"Well, if you want a dress, I'll buy it for you!" Thomas playfully said, "Tell me which brand you like, and I'll have my assistant buy it and deliver it to your home. It'll be a one-of-a-kind limited edition."

His voice faintly came through the phone, and Anderson caught about seventy to eighty percent of it.

He had doubted from the beginning that Haley, being so young, could start a company. Now, hearing her conversation with a man on the phone, his suspicion started to solidify.

Though Anderson had his doubts, he chose not to express them.

Ivan was decisive and intelligent, but no matter what, he was still a man. As a man, he might fall into the category of the old saying, "heroes are vulnerable to the allure of beautiful women."

It was possible that he was momentarily captivated by the extraordinary beauty of this Haley.

Anderson was afraid that the A-F project which has just seen the light of day was about to meet its untimely end again.

Hearing Thomas rambling on the phone, Haley coldly hung up and blocked him.
