Chapter 448

Haley composed herself before making her way downstairs.

No one was in the living room, but laughter and joy could be heard from the nearby dining room.

She slowly approached and stood at the entrance of the dining room, witnessing a heartwarming and harmonious scene.

Angela was nestled in Ivan's embrace, her mouth full of food. Owen and Keith were each feeding the little girl breakfast while Ivan struggled to tie Angela's braids.

As a grown man, his hands were clumsy, and the braids didn't look very good.

Before Haley had a chance to criticize, Todd couldn't bear it and frowned. "This hairstyle makes you look ugly."

Upon hearing this, the little girl turned sour, clearly displeased at the remark.

Ivan cleared his throat and said, "Todd, your dad is still learning, so it's normal that the braids don't look good. Can you come over here and teach me?"

Todd carefully instructed, "First, comb the hair smoothly, then divide it into three equal sections, and slowly braid it like this..."

He taught meticulously, and Ivan learned earnestly.

Haley's face was filled with tenderness.

Even though Todd said he didn't need a father, he must actually like Ivan.

Because she had never seen such an expression on Todd's face before.

She stepped into the dining room and smiled gently. "Let me do Angela's hair."

Ivan looked up at her.

He had specially chosen her outfit—a pale yellow top paired with a cream-colored fitted skirt, which accentuated her figure.

Suddenly, he thought of her attire from last night. Haley wearing his shirt was the most enchanting.

"Mom, you're awake!"

Owen happily pounced on her, using both hands and feet to climb onto Haley's body.

Those little hands unconsciously touched Haley's chest, and the child's fuzzy head rubbed against Haley's chest.

Ivan suddenly felt angry.

He walked over, grabbed Owen's collar, and threw him onto the ground, coldly saying, "You're already so old, yet you still want to be carried?"

Owen felt wronged, saying, "Angela is also four years old. Why can she be carried?"

"Angela is a girl, and you're a boy. Can they be the same?" Keith glanced at him calmly.

Haley fell silent.

Yesterday, she thought Ivan was quite gentle toward Owen, but today, he revealed his true colors again.

She walked over and picked up Owen, placed him on her lap, and smiled. "Owen, did you have breakfast?"

"I already ate!" Owen hugged Haley's neck and happily said, "Mom, there's all kinds of breakfast in the kitchen. Whatever you want to eat, I'll get it for you."

As he finished speaking, Todd had already returned from the kitchen and placed the plate on the table, saying lightly, "Mom, this is your favorite toast."

Owen stuck out his tongue. Todd's actions were too fast, making him seem like a big talker.

Haley felt particularly happy.

Her life had never been so fulfilling before. All four children were alive and by her side. Was there anything happier than this?

She raised her eyes to Ivan, who had just finished combing Angela's hair. His dark, deep eyes fell quietly on her, reflecting her figure in his blue irises.

Her heartbeat suddenly quickened.

Feeling very uneasy, she looked away and checked the time, saying, "I have a celebration banquet tonight. Mr. Winston, can you help take care of the children?"

Ivan nodded indifferently. "If you leave the children at the Winston family, you can rest assured. After lunch, I'll take you to get styled and pick out a dress. We should have enough time."

Haley thanked him softly.
