Chapter 564
The night was dark. Haley lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.
As she was suffering from insomnia, her phone vibrated under the pillow, and she glanced at it—it was a video call from Ivan.
She quickly answered the call.
Ivan asked, "Darling, you’re still not asleep?"
Haley, filled with sweetness, said, "I can't sleep. How about you?"
"I can't sleep either." Ivan leaned against the headboard, his gaze intense. "I really don't know who came up with this rule to keep us apart."
Haley chuckled. "It's just one day apart. Can't you be more mature?"
Ivan replied, "I can't mature in front of you at all." Ivan stared at the phone screen. "You rest well tonight, and I'll come pick you up early tomorrow morning."
Haley said, "That's not up to you. Grandma said the time for the wedding has also been set for ten in the morning."
Ivan looked frustrated. "So I have to wait another eleven hours to see you?"
Haley smiled again, pursing her lips.
They chatted back and forth, and Haley closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
The next day, she was awakened by Madam Martinez.
She turned to look outside. The sky was still pitch black. She rubbed her eyes and checked the time. It was only four-thirty in the morning.
In other words, Haley had only slept for a little over three hours.
"Grandma." Haley hugged the blanket and refused to get up. "It's still early, so let me sleep a little longer."
Madam Martinez seemed to see Sankar through Haley. Her gaze became even more affectionate, and she pretended to be stern. "You are the bride today, and you can't stay in bed. Be good. Get up."
Haley sat up from the bed with her eyes closed, and after she washed her face, Madam Martinez took her to the makeup room.
Haley was really exhausted. She had been on the phone with Ivan until late last night, and she had been awakened before she could fall asleep properly.
Haley let the makeup artist do her makeup while she closed her eyes and continued to sleep.
It wasn't until a familiar voice suddenly rang in Haley's ear that she abruptly opened her eyes.
As soon as her eyes opened, she saw four small faces carved out of the same mold.
Haley asked, "Why are you all here?"
Owen smiled happily and said, "We came to see Mommy get married."
Haley felt like laughing and crying at the same time.
She thought the children would come with Ivan.
Now, she would take the four lovely children to the Winston family.
"Mommy, you look so beautiful!" Angela held her face, full of admiration.
Haley knew Angela loved beauty, so she pinched her little cheek and asked, "Did your flower girl dress arrive?"
Angela nodded vigorously.
Keith lifted the bag in his hand and said, "Mommy, I brought all four of our clothes."
Haley hurried the makeup artist to dress up the children.
Now that the children were around, Haley's drowsiness disappeared instantly. The makeup room was lively and bustling. There was a sweet and happy smile on her face, which made everyone present envious.
