Chapter 662
"Thank you, Mr. Lumi, but I can handle it myself," Haley said, then hung up the phone directly.
She drove back to Star Technical Company. Instead of dealing with work, she logged into the dark web using an overseas account.
There were all kinds of people in the dark web, most of them were highly capable. Haley found a few organizations that frequented war-torn areas and spent a fortune to have them search for Ivan.
If Martin wanted Ivan to disappear without a trace, it could only be in those chaotic places.
Whether he was alive or dead, she had to know Ivan's whereabouts.
Haley spent a busy afternoon at the company before getting ready to leave.
She really didn't want to go back to the Winston family. Without Ivan and the four kids, it was just a place to stay.
But she still needed to deal with Martin, so she had to go back.
Haley lingered in the office for a while before driving back to the Winston family mansion.
As soon as she got out of the car, she heard familiar voices.
Then, four adorable children came running towards her.
"Mommy, you're finally back! I missed you so much!" Owen leaped into her arms.
"Mommy, I want a hug, I missed you so much!" Angela clung to Haley's arm, trying to climb up.
Keith looked up with a complicated expression and said, "Mommy, you seem to have lost weight."
"Mommy."
Todd opened his mouth but couldn't say a complete sentence for a long time.
He had seen today's news as soon as it came out. He really didn't expect Daddy to have such a big impact on Mommy.
"Why are you all back?"
Haley hugged Angela and patted Owen, her heart filled with warmth.
The next second, her heart tightened.
The Winston family mansion housed the demon Martin, and having the kids back felt like lambs to the slaughter.
"Haley, stop trying to comfort the kids." Thomas walked over from behind, his face grave. "They're only four, but their intelligence is like that of ten-year-olds. They know what happened."
"Mommy, Daddy is a bad guy!" Owen said through gritted teeth. "When Daddy comes back, I'm going to teach him a lesson for you!"
Keith tightened his thin lips and said, "I never thought Daddy would be this kind of person. Mommy, no matter what decision you make, I'll support you."
Angela choked up and said, "Daddy is bad, I don't like Daddy anymore!"
"Mommy, I support you getting a divorce," Todd said calmly. "Angela and I will always be by your side."
Haley's nose suddenly tingled.
The kids were cursing their daddy, but they were oblivious to the fact that their daddy had long disappeared.
And she could never tell the children about this.
"This is an adult matter, you don't need to worry about it," Haley said, taking a deep breath. "There are still some things I need to handle with Daddy. How about you go stay at the other mansion with Uncle Thomas tonight?"
Haley didn't dare let the kids stay here; she was really afraid Martin would go crazy and harm them.
"I want to stay with Mommy," Todd said firmly. "No matter what happens, I want to be with Mommy."
He held Haley's hand, stubbornly refusing to let go.
"Haley, with things having gotten to this point, are you still holding onto hope?" Thomas said coldly. "There's only one path for you now, and that's a peaceful divorce. As for the custody of the kids, even if the court grants it to the Winston family, so what? They're old enough to decide who they want to live with. No one can stop them."
