By the time Brenda spoke with the kids, Ivan had taken Haley to the biggest hospital in Watertown.
"The wounds on the patient's face can be healed. It will take about a week, and after a month of recovery, you can consider scar removal surgery," the doctor said after changing the dressing, carefully reminding Haley of some daily precautions.
Haley touched the bandaged wound and asked in confusion, "Why do I always feel a bit itchy inside the wound, like there's something in there?"
The doctor replied, "I just checked, and there are no foreign objects left in the wound. If it itches, it might be inflamed. You should get an IV of antibiotics before you go home."
The doctor prescribed some medication, and Haley obediently stayed for the IV.
The primary concern was the discomfort and itching on her right cheek due to the scar, leading to a constant urge to scratch.
Ivan sat by the bed, keeping Haley company. She lay there with her eyes closed, drifting in and out of sleep. Ivan had his laptop on his lap, softly tapping away at the keyboard.
After more than an hour, once the IV drip was finished, Haley and Ivan finally left the hospital.
"Let's go help me move my things first," Haley said with a smile. "I moved there with the kids to avoid Martin, but now that you're back, there's no need to live separately anymore."
Ivan's Adam's apple bobbed heavily. "Okay, let's move first."
Haley's face turned a bit red.
She didn't mean it that way, but somehow it came out wrong.
They drove to the villa that Haley's grandmother had given her. Haley, along with the kids, packed their belongings from the villa, got into Ivan's car, and left.
As they drove away, a shadowy figure darted behind them, capturing a photo with a sharp click.
Ava let out a cold laugh.
She looked at the photo sent by the private detective on her phone, a hint of mockery in her eyes.
'That bitch Haley, just a few days ago, she was entangled with Thomas, and now she has found a new lover.'
Last time, Ava had tipped off Ivan, but it seemed Ivan didn't go to Country Y to find Haley.
It looked like Haley and Ivan were really divorced.
Otherwise, Haley wouldn't have found a new lover so quickly.
The man in the photo was wearing a black mask and was tall and seemingly wealthy.
Sure enough, even though Haley had four kids, many men were still vying for her because of her beauty.
Ava smirked.
She had intended to keep an eye on Haley and catch her in a compromising situation to report to Thomas.
However, Thomas was already tired of her. Even if she had sent this photo to Thomas, it wouldn't have changed anything.
But she couldn't do something useless.
