Ivan pursed his lips. "I brought it to give to someone."
Alfred instantly realized and put on a distressed look. "Ivan, why are you giving lilies? You should give roses, and they should be fiery red roses. Even if there aren't 999 roses, there should be 99, that's what a man should give to a woman! Hand over the lilies to me to deal with them quickly!"
Alfred took the lilies without hesitation.
Ivan was speechless. He had consulted the florist in the shop before deciding to give lilies.
Firstly, his relationship with Haley was not yet confirmed, and secondly, the love expressed by red roses was too direct, he was afraid of scaring her.
Alfred took a few steps, then turned back and said, "Haley is not coming today. The two children have packed their clothes and gone to Haley's place. They said they won't be back tonight."
Ivan didn't say anything. This woman was definitely avoiding him on purpose. But to be fair, he had been too abrupt today. He shouldn't have kissed her so domineeringly.
But if given another chance, he would still do the same.
He said, "I'm going out, I won't be eating at home."
A satisfied smile appeared on Alfred's face, reminding, "Ivan, don't forget to buy red roses."
Ivan opened the car door and got in.
Sitting in the driver's seat, various thoughts crossed his mind.
Actually, what Alfred said was not wrong.
He had already kissed her, giving lilies was indeed not enough.
Red roses must be given, and besides that, he needed to prepare some other things. Ivan drove toward the largest mall in Watertown.
Haley's car had just arrived at the door when she saw Keith and Owen arriving at the same time.
The bodyguards had brought the two children over, and Keith was carrying a suitcase, looking like they were going to stay here for several days.
Haley smiled and helped him carry the suitcase over, gently asking, "Did you two tell Daddy that you were coming?"
"No, we told Grandma and Alfred!" Owen hooked her arm with Haley's, "Grandma said we could stay at Mommy's house for a few more days!"
Haley felt warm inside.
She used to think Mrs. Winston had a stern personality and was hard to get along with, but now she found out that she was actually quite nice.
She smiled and said, "Alright, you can stay at my house for a few more days. Today is your first official day here, how about we have a party?"
"Great!" Owen clapped happily. "Mommy, what can I help you with? Just tell me!"
Haley led the four children into the house, smiling and saying, "Keith, you're in charge of tidying up the living room, Todd, you go to the kitchen to help Mommy cook, Owen and Angela, you're responsible for decorating the living room. Is this arrangement okay?"
"Mommy, I'll make sure the living room is spotless!"
"Mommy, I'll take good care of my little sister!"
Todd obediently followed Haley into the kitchen.
She started by making a cake, then prepared dinner after putting the cake in the oven.
Since it was a party, dinner was simple, with fruit salad, fries, fried chicken, and healthy nutritious cookies which she then brought out and placed on a long table.
The living room was neatly arranged, with many cute dolls on the floor, making it look very lively.
Haley clapped her hands. "I now declare the party officially started!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the children cheered and clapped.
Suddenly, Todd frowned. "Mommy, it seems like someone is coming outside."
