Chapter 741
At the door, Brenda whispered, "Louis, who's that woman?"
"She's the boss's partner," Louis replied stiffly. "The boss and Ms. Deross are busy with work, so they don't have time for you You should head back."
Brenda glanced at the dining room, hesitated, but then left.
Watching her figure disappear at the door, Haley then lowered her voice and asked, "Is that the woman claiming to be your mother?"
Leonardo nodded slightly. "We don't know her motives yet. Let's be patient. She'll slip up when she gets desperate."
Haley felt relieved. As long as Leonardo was cautious, she had nothing to worry about.
"Okay. Be careful. Let me know if you need help. I'll take the kids back now."
Angela and Owen, having finished their meal, stood up and joined Haley.
Leonardo took out his phone. "Let's exchange numbers and stay in touch."
Haley nodded, and they swapped contact info.
She gave Leonardo one last look before leaving with the kids.
Leonardo watched them go, then waved his hand.
His trusted ally, Jared Baker, emerged from the shadows.
Leonardo spoke quietly, "Assign two reliable guards to follow and protect them. Report any unusual activity."
Jared nodded. "Yes, sir!"
He then disappeared back into the darkness.
"Boss, we have news!" A guard rushed in urgently. "Half an hour ago, Quillan and Anthony went to an abandoned warehouse in the suburbs. I saw a large cache of weapons inside."
A cold smile crossed Leonardo's lips.
Anthony had embezzled billions over the years, using it to buy weapons. Leonardo had always wondered where they were hidden.
Some were in Anthony's mansion basement, but it wasn't enough. He knew well that most were hidden elsewhere.
It turned out that they were in an abandoned warehouse, a place both dangerous and secure.
"Take more men and see what surprise Quillan and Anthony have for me."
Leonardo walked out coldly.
Haley returned to the villa with the kids.
Thomas greeted them, looking concerned. "Are you alright? Any injuries?"
Owen beamed. "We're fine. Angela and I had a great meal."
"You little naughty kids!" Thomas's expression changed. "If you sneak out again, I'll spank you!"
"Mommy already scolded me. I won't sneak out to see Daddy anymore," Owen said with a grin. "Daddy said if we want to see him, we just need to call, and he'll send someone to pick us up or come himself."
Thomas was stunned and looked at Haley. "Is what Owen said true?"
A soft light flowed in Haley's cool eyes.
She said softly, "He is Ivan. Whether or not he has lost his memory, he is still the kids' dad."
