Justin quickly stepped forward, holding Barbara's arm, and whispered, "Barbara, there are so many people here today. Don't make a scene. I'll take you home."
Haley rubbed her slightly numb fingertips and said calmly, "Justin, let her go. Let's see who ends up embarrassed."
Barbara felt like her insides were on fire.
It wasn't the first time she had been slapped by Haley. She could let the last time slide since it happened at the Deross family's, and she wasn't too embarrassed.
