Chapter 64 Confrontation with Reception Staff at the Winston Group
The employees at the reception always considered themselves superior and never bothered to read the gossip news online. Because of this, the receptionist did not recognize Haley. She simply thought Haley was good-looking. In fact, she was the most attractive person she had ever seen in her life.
"Ahem, ahem." Haley lightly cleared her throat.
The receptionist suddenly snapped back to reality and asked, "Oh, I'm sorry. Are you heading to the CEO's office?"
Haley nodded.
"Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist continued.
"No." Haley shook her head lightly. "I had a verbal agreement with Mr. Ivan."
Upon hearing this, a trace of disdain appeared in the receptionist's surprised eyes. Countless people came to the company every day looking for Ivan, among them were glamorous, enchanting, and sexy ladies.
Although this woman in front of her was better-looking than the ones before, it still couldn't change her nature. She must have thought she could get close to the CEO of Winston Group with her beauty.
The receptionist coldly said, "Without an appointment, you cannot enter the Winston Group. Please leave."
Haley calmly replied, "I did indeed have an agreement with Mr. Ivan. If you don't believe me, you can make a phone call to the CEO's office and ask."
"If I had to make a phone call for every person coming to see Mr. Ivan, the secretary in the CEO's office would have nothing else to do but answer calls all day long," the receptionist retorted.
"Since you, miss, had a verbal agreement with Mr. Ivan, why don't you make a call to Mr. Winston Ivan and ask her to send someone down to receive you?"
Haley smirked and lightly said, "Sure, then I'll leave for now."
She didn't show any reluctance and turned to leave. The receptionist felt uneasy. If Ivan had made an agreement with this woman and she had blocked her from entering the building, she would have made a big mistake.
But then again, this woman didn't have an appointment, and it was against company policies to let anyone in without one. Therefore, she hadn't done anything wrong. With this thought in mind, the receptionist felt a sense of relief.
Haley calmly walked out of the Winston Group building. Her studio had just started, and there were too many things to take care of. She didn't have time to argue with a receptionist here.
As soon as she walked out, two well-dressed men came toward her in the lobby. Louis and Mark were talking and walking toward the lobby. The instant they looked up, they saw Haley.
She walked away from the receptionist with an indifferent expression on her face.
"Isn't this Haley?" Louis squinted his eyes. "Why did she come out of the Winston Group?"
Mark bumped into his shoulder. "I told you before, Ivan is very interested in Ms. Haley. They may have had an affair already."
"I don't believe Ivan has what it takes to win over the Cuenca’s top beauty." Louis snorted. "Apart from being slightly better looking and wealthier than me, he has nothing that surpasses me. As long as Ms. Haley isn't blind, she knows who to choose."
Mark shook his head in amusement. Confidence was a good thing for young people, but too much could be detrimental, and he believed that Louis definitely had a little too much.
As they were talking, Haley had already reached where they were. Louis quickly adjusted his suit and struck what he thought was his most handsome pose. Haley's eyes remained indifferent as she focused ahead and completely ignored him, walking out in brisk steps.
"Hey!" Louis was displeased and quickly caught up with her. "I'm standing right here! Can't you see that?"
