Chapter 1056
Ivan pushed the door open and walked in.
Step by step, he walked to the bedside, his voice very soft.
Maybe she hadn't slept well, Camilla's eyes opened instantly.
She stared blankly at Ivan as he walked in, then suddenly sat up from the bed. "Why are you here?"
"To check on you."
Ivan sat down beside her hospital bed.
The thin morning light fell on his face, making his eyes look like the ocean, seemingly filled with endless affection.
Camilla's heart suddenly skipped a beat.
She averted her gaze somewhat uncomfortably, "You must be very busy, don't waste your time on me."
"Do you know why I love you?" Ivan looked at her, resolute. "Because you're not Camilla, you're Haley."
"What?"
Early in the morning, Camilla's mind was still a bit confused.
She stared blankly at him, "What are you talking about? I don't understand."
"You're my wife, the heir of the Lumi family, the mother of my four children. Your name is Haley." Ivan's voice was low, each word clear and deliberate. "We've been looking for you for four whole years, and we finally found you."
He couldn't help but hug her shoulders.
His palm was very warm, making her instantly alert.
Camilla retreated, avoiding Ivan's touch. "Why didn't you tell me the first time we met? Why did you wait until the news broke online to tell me this?"
All of this was too unbelievable.
But, deep down, a voice told her that Ivan wasn't lying.
"It's too complicated, I didn't know how to tell you." Ivan looked at her and said, "I called Pitt. He'll be in Brussville in two hours. When he arrives, you'll know everything."
Camilla frowned. "Can't you just tell me directly?"
"It's hard to explain." Ivan's voice was very deep. "Pitt is a psychologist who knows hypnosis. He can awaken dormant memories and should be able to help you recall what happened four years ago."
Camilla pressed her temples.
She had consulted a doctor before, and the doctor did say that hypnosis could help people recall the past.
But there were fewer than a hundred people worldwide who could perform hypnosis, and even fewer than ten who could accurately help people recall the past.
She had looked but couldn't find anyone, so she gave up.
Now, with such a good opportunity, how could she refuse?
"Mr. Winston, thank you."
Ivan looked at her, "Haley, we never need to say thank you to each other."
Camilla lowered her eyes and said nothing.
Until everything was confirmed, she didn't know what to say.
She thought of the four children in Watertown. She still clearly remembered their smiling faces and their eager expressions.
They had said they wanted her to be their mommy.
Maybe, she really was their mommy.
"If hypnosis fails, I'll take you to Watertown for a DNA test." Ivan said softly, "Your father has been looking for you for a long time, once thinking you were dead."
In these short four years, Cauth had aged a lot, traveling all over the world just to find news about Haley.
Camilla's heart suddenly felt a pang of sadness.
She said softly, "I'm hungry. Can you get me something to eat?"
Ivan immediately stood up, "Give me ten minutes."
He hurried out.
As soon as he left, Camilla took her laptop and opened it.
