Justin was stunned by her revelation.
He had seen many stories about his cousinHaley online. Many claimed that Haley had lost a set of twins four years ago, but Justin had seen Todd and Angela alive and well, leading him to believe those online stories were just rumors. "All this time, I thought the other two boys had died. Just these past days, I found out that those two children didn't die; they are alive..." Haley's voice dropped.
This was the first time she had shared this part of her past with another person.
As she poured out the darkness and the past that had been weighing on her, it seemed like a glimmer of sunshine was finally beginning to break through.
Justin did not interrupt; he quietly listened to her story.
In the quiet office, only Haley's soft voice could be heard.
Outside her office, the sound of dress shoes clicking against the floor came to an abrupt halt. Ivan, just about to knock, was taken aback by the shocking revelation.
Louis had inquired about the two boys before, but Haley had denied everything.
She claimed to have given birth to quadruplets.

For some reason, the images of Keith and Owen sprung unbidden into Ivan's mind.

"Todd and Angela's biological father is Ivan. Todd did the paternity test himself."

He turned around and left Star Technical Company.
After hanging up the phone, Haley let out a long sigh of relief. Speaking those truths had indeed lightened her heart.
Glancing at the time, twenty minutes had passed. Why hadn't Ivan shown up?
She texted him: "How much longer will you be?"
Five minutes later, they passed without a reply from Ivan.
Frowning, she sent another message: "It's getting late. I need to pick up the kids from preschool. Don't bother coming now."
Grabbing her bag, Haley walked out of her office.
Ariana, busy at the reception desk, was about to inform Haley that Ivan had come and gone, but seeing Haley in a hurry, she assumed the two had arranged to meet downstairs, so she said nothing.
Meanwhile, Ivan was driving at breakneck speed toward the DeRoss family home.
