Chapter 1015
Nicole's hand was grabbed in mid-air.
She turned around to see a fierce-looking bodyguard staring at her, then forcefully flinging her hand away.
"Mr. Winston, are you alright?" The bodyguard asked nervously.
Owen shook his head, his eyes filled with tears as he looked at Nicole in front of him.
Four years ago, his Mommy had looked at him with the same angry expression when he did the same thing.
The bodyguard knew that the dress Nicole was wearing had indeed been dirtied by Owen.
So he pulled out a check from his wallet, wrote a number on it, and handed it over. "Is this enough?"
Nicole's eyes widened suddenly—five hundred thousand dollars! It was more than twice the price of her dress.
A normal kid could be so generous here. Watertown really did have a lot of wealthy people.
The bodyguard's eyes turned a bit cold.
"It's enough." Nicole put the check into her purse. "Be more careful when you walk next time."
She headed to the restroom, cleaning the wine off her dress.
Owen was completely disheartened. It suggested that this person should indeed be Haley.
However, he didn't feel that heart-wrenching connection from that woman.
He remembered very clearly when he first met Haley, even though they were strangers, he couldn't bear to be away from her for even a second.
Could it be that if his mommy changed her face, he wouldn't love her anymore? Owen wandered back to the corner of the banquet hall in a daze.
There were tall green plants on all sides, blocking everyone's view from the hall, with four bodyguards at the entrance.
Angela also came over, and the four Winston family children sat silently on the sofa.
After a long time, Owen finally spoke, "I don't know if she really is Mommy."
"What did you say?" Angela looked up, speaking in disbelief. "Owen, what did you just do?"
"Angela, we all know about what happened in Brussville," Keith said softly. "That Miss Jenkins should be related to mommy, right?"
Angela stared blankly at her three brothers. She should have realized why her three brothers insisted on attending the banquet tonight.
"I took a strand of her hair, and the paternity test results are out." Angela smiled bitterly. "She really is our Mommy."
Keith was stunned.
When the woman saw the number on the check, her eyes lit up with excitement. Even if their mommy had lost her memory, she would never show such interest in money.
Keith had already ruled out this possibility in his heart, but Angela actually admitted she had already done a paternity test!
Todd was equally incredulous. "Angela, do you know what you're saying?"
Angela nodded. "A week ago, I went to Brussville to visit my teacher and ran into Mommy. She looks a bit different now, but I could tell at a glance that she was Mommy! To be absolutely sure, I secretly took a strand of her hair and gave it to Daddy. An hour ago, Daddy confirmed she is our mommy."
Owen said blankly, "She really is Mommy."
After interacting with her, he had some doubts. But now, with Angela's words, he was convinced again.
