Chapter 787
Ivan lay down on the sofa in the study.
Pitt brought the tools needed for hypnosis, and Katherine casually picked up a pocket watch to start the session.
"You better not play tricks," Pitt said coldly. "I'm also a professional psychologist. I can see through your tricks."
Katherine's hand trembled slightly.
She returned the pocket watch to its box and took out an hourglass, flipping it over, filling the study with the soft sound of sand.
She then had a servant bring in a two-meter-high mirror and place it directly in front of Ivan. In the center of the mirror was a constantly spinning spiral.
Just looking at these things made Haley feel dizzy.
In such an environment, even someone with strong willpower would likely be hypnotized.
The hypnosis session began quickly.
Once Katherine was in the zone, she projected the composure and stability of a psychologist. She gently led Ivan through a scenario that lasted two hours.
When the clock struck twelve, Ivan suddenly sat up straight on the sofa.
Katherine was exhausted. "I performed at least three hypnosis sessions to erase his memory a month ago. This time, it will take at least three sessions to fully restore his memory."
Haley said coldly, "Come in."
Two bodyguards who had been waiting outside the study walked in and held Katherine by the shoulders.
"What are you doing?" Katherine struggled forcefully. "I've already followed your orders to help Ivan regain his memory. Why are you still detaining me? Haley, you broke your promise. I should never have told you where Ivan was!"
If she hadn't said those things at the airport, at least Martin wouldn't be missing now.
And she wouldn't have suffered all this torment.
"The hypnosis isn't over yet. During this period, you'll stay here," Haley said coldly. "Take her to the guest room on the third floor and keep an eye on her."
The two bodyguards escorted Katherine to the third floor and locked the door firmly.
Thankfully, the room was well soundproofed, silencing Katherine's angry outbursts once the door was shut.
As Pitt packed up his things, he asked, "Mr. Winston, did you remember anything?"
Ivan sat on the sofa, his eyes half-closed, gently massaging his temples. He said, "Some things are flooding into my mind. I need some time to process them."
"That's a good sign," Pitt said excitedly. "The first hypnosis session might not bring back many memories, but after that, you should remember everything. Mr. Winston, get a good rest tonight. The next hypnosis session will be in three days."
Pitt finished packing and left.
Haley helped Ivan to the main bedroom.
She applied some essential oil to her palm, waited for it to warm up, and then gently massaged Ivan's temples.
As she massaged, Haley said, "Don't rush to think about it. Get a good sleep. By tomorrow, you should start to remember some things."
