Chapter 745
Pitt let out a heavy sigh of relief.
Then he turned and went back to his room to get the things needed to carry out the hypnosis.
"Is this guy reliable?" Leonardo whispered. "Can he really help me regain my memory?"
Haley said, "I don't know if it will work, but we have to try."
If it didn't work, she would have to find Katherine.
She wondered how Katherine was doing these days.
Pitt quickly returned with a box, opened it, and took out some items to set up.
He pulled over a chair for Leonardo and said, "From now on, you need to relax. Your body must be extremely relaxed, as if you're lying in your mother's arms, feeling completely safe and at ease."
Leonardo's expression softened as he relaxed completely.
"Alright. Now, can you tell me about your earliest memory?" Pitt asked gently.
Leonardo slowly said, "I woke up in a dark place, surrounded by a strong smell of blood. There were injured people all around me, and I was hurt too. The worst injury was on my face, and because it wasn't treated in time, it left this scar."
As he said this, Haley's fingers suddenly tightened.
She looked at Leonardo with a complex expression.
"Why did you stop?" Pitt asked gently.
Leonardo suddenly looked up and said, "Haley, can you step out for a moment?"
The memory he was about to recount was a hundred times more brutal than the first, and he wasn't sure if Haley could handle it.
Pitt turned to her. "It's best not to have a third person present during hypnosis. Haley, please step out."
Haley walked to the door, turning back with every step, straining to hear what was happening inside.
Unfortunately, Pitt and Leonardo's voices were too low, she couldn't hear a word, and it seemed to be getting quieter inside.
Suddenly, she heard someone calling her name.
"Haley. Haley. Haley!" The voice grew louder and more insistent.
"Haley."
"Haley!"
The voice echoed sharply, filling the room.
Unable to resist any longer, Haley pushed the door open and went in, only to see Leonardo sitting up, his eyes filled with coldness and confusion.
"Haley, it failed," Pitt said, shaking his head as he packed up his things to leave. "His memory seems to have been sealed multiple times. After several failed attempts, the hypnotist reinforced the hypnosis, forcibly altering his memory, causing him this pain."
"Thank you, Pitt," Haley said.
Haley saw Pitt out, then closed the door and walked over to Leonardo.
She raised her hand to touch his face and said softly, "It's okay. If it doesn't work this time, we'll try again."
Leonardo grasped her slender fingers and asked, "Do you know why I called your name just now?"
"Why?" she asked.
