Chapter 1016
Angela couldn't possibly be playing such a big joke.
"Daddy had a hypnotist see Mommy, who lost her memory from four years ago, and the side effects from the Bio-intelligent Chip are temporarily gone," Angela said softly. "We should try not to appear in front of Mommy and avoid triggering her memories of the past."
Owen frowned slightly.
Were the side effects of the Bio-intelligent Chip really gone? But just now, his mommy clearly wanted to slap him.
However, Keith interrupted his thoughts as soon as he spoke, "Angela, what exactly did Daddy say?" Keith pressed his lips tightly. "I better go ask Daddy myself."
Angela held Keith's arm. "Keith, no. Daddy is in bad right now."
Even though Haley was right in front of them, they couldn't acknowledge her. Ivan wouldn't be less sorrowful than them.
Todd squinted his eyes and gestured to the bodyguard behind him. "Go find out what her nominal brother's name is and what project he's handling."
The bodyguard immediately turned to leave.
In less than ten minutes, the bodyguard returned. "She is Miss Jenkins from the Jenkins family with her brother named Micah Jenkins, who is handling a real estate project in collaboration with Watertown."
"It seems she really is Mommy," Owen said blankly.
A family with no reputation wouldn't qualify to collaborate on a real estate project with the Winston Group. Other than his Mommy, he couldn't think of another reason.
Angela looked at her three brothers. "Daddy will definitely find a way to bring Mommy home. Let's wait for Daddy to handle it, okay?"
Todd nodded. "Alright, let's wait for Daddy."
Angela finally breathed a sigh of relief. What she feared most was her three brothers being too impulsive and disrupting Daddy's plan.
Nicole's dress was stained with wine. After cleaning it, the dress was wrinkled.
Seeing the luxurious and elegant attire of the people there, she felt too embarrassed to go back to the hall.
She could only lift her skirt and leave with regret. Just as she reached the door, she suddenly heard hurried footsteps behind her.
"Miss Jenkins!"
Nicole turned around and saw a young man in a lake-blue suit hurrying towards her.
With the light spreading over the man, his great figure and gentle demeanor showed up, like a prince walking out of a painting.
Nicole couldn't snap out of it for a long time. It wasn't until the man stopped in front of her that she suddenly came to her senses.
Immediately, she noticed her wrinkled dress and the red wine stains that hadn't been completely cleaned. A sense of inferiority and shame she had never felt before rose from her heart.
Nicole was from the Jenkins family, unmatched in all of Brussville, and had never felt inferior.
But at this moment, when this man suddenly appeared in front of her, Nicole suddenly regretted not changing into another dress. That way, she wouldn't be in such a sorry state.
"Are you Miss Jenkins?"
Bryan looked at Nicole in front of him, not understanding why Owen insisted he personally deliver something.
Seeing Nicole nod, Bryan then raised the gift box in his hand and handed it over. "This is a new dress for you. You can change and continue attending the banquet."
Nicole was stunned. Was this man giving her a dress?
