Chapter 1034
Camilla nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Winston."
Ivan opened the wardrobe door while Camilla was stunned.
The entire wardrobe was filled with women's clothes that should belong to the lady of the house.
The lady of the house had been missing for four years, yet everything of hers was still kept in the room. Ivan must have loved his wife very much, but why was he bothering her?
Camilla silently pressed her lips together, trying to push this strange thought out of her mind.
"These must be Mr. Winston's wife's clothes. Let's not trouble you," Camilla said with a forced smile. "I'll go buy some at the mall."
Ivan knew exactly what Camilla was thinking. These were her clothes, but he couldn't explain that.
"There are new clothes in Owen's room. I'll get you a set."
He went to the next room and brought back a loose, casual dress.
"Thank you," Camilla said softly.
"You should take a shower," Ivan suggested. "The chicken soup smell is quite strong."
Camilla was silent. The chicken soup smell was indeed quite strong.
She walked into the bathroom, double-locked the door, and then started to undress and take a shower.
She quickly rinsed off and dried herself, ready to get dressed. However, at that moment, her calf suddenly started to cramp.
This was a sequela from three years ago. Samantha said she almost drowned in the ocean, her lungs were severely infected, and she had to undergo surgery.
Camilla needed two surgeries to recover, but she was left with significant aftereffects in her limbs, frequently experiencing cramps that made her fearful of swimming.
Camilla held onto the wall and fell hard to the ground.
"Camilla, what's going on?"
Ivan rushed over and knocked on the door forcefully.
"I'm... I'm fine."
Camilla tried to stay calm, but the gasping in her voice gave her away.
Ivan pressed his lips together and said, "Wrap yourself in a towel. I'm coming in."
"No!" Camilla hurriedly stopped him, "It's just a cramp, and it'll be fine in five minutes. Don't come in!"
She reached out, but couldn't grab the towel hanging above. She wasn't wearing any clothes, and if Ivan came in, he would see everything.
"You must have fallen," Ivan said calmly. "You can't sit on the cold floor for long. I'm coming in to carry you out."
"No!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Ivan unlocked the bathroom door with a key.
Camilla's tan body was faintly visible through the mist.
Ivan swallowed hard. He closed his eyes. "I won't look at you."
He walked over and bent down to pick Camilla up.
Camilla wanted to struggle, but she had no strength, so she had to let Ivan carry her out of the bathroom. Ivan carefully placed her on the bed.
She quickly pulled the blanket over her body.
Ivan then opened his eyes. "Which leg is cramping? Stretch it out."
"What are you going to do?" Camilla asked warily.
"I know how to massage it. Otherwise, it'll hurt when you walk later." Ivan grabbed her right foot without waiting for her consent.
"It's not the right leg," Camilla blurted out instinctively.
