"The hypnotist took me to a place filled with warmth and blooming flowers, where everything was beautiful. Then, you appeared, and I saw you being taken away." Leonardo held Haley tightly. "It felt so real, like someone was forcibly tearing you out of my life. The anger and reluctance I felt were intense. But when I woke up, my mind was blank again."
As he spoke, a sudden sharp pain hit the back of his head.
Every time he tried to remember the past, his head would hurt.
"Don't think about it," Haley said with a forced smile. "The kids asked me to give you something."
She walked to the bedside and handed him a document from under the pillow. "Keith and Todd gathered this information."
Leonardo glanced at the document, his eyes narrowing. "Keith and Todd, their nicknames on the dark web are 'Milk-Loving Owen' and 'the boss of the Deross family,' right?"
"Yes, they mentioned it. They've helped you a lot," Haley said, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "Before I knew you were missing, the kids had already become your allies. If I had known you were here earlier, I could have come sooner and helped you."
If she had known about it earlier, he wouldn't have suffered so much, and he wouldn't have so many scars.
"It's not too late now," Leonardo said, suddenly hugged Haley again.
Haley keenly felt something pressing against her.
Her face turned red. Could Leonardo not be so eager?

Leonardo noticed her discomfort and released her, coughing. "I have a rough idea about some people's backgrounds, and I had planned to reuse them. Haley paused and asked, "Do you really plan to stay here forever?"
Leonardo's gaze fell on her. "Once I unify this place, I'll hand it over to the next leader and take you and the kids home."
"Do you know how difficult that is?" Haley smiled bitterly. "August's family has been operating here for thirty or forty years and hasn't succeeded. You're fighting alone; you might never leave this place in your lifetime. You don't belong here. You shouldn't sacrifice your energy and even your life for this place."
"So, I have a new idea," Leonardo said, holding her. "Form alliances with other countries and make this place a region of another country. It's another form of unification."
Haley was stunned.
She always thought Leonardo had two reasons for not wanting to leave: he had lost his memory and felt no attachment to returning to Watertown, and he wanted to be in power. Otherwise, he couldn't have become the leader of the Black Gang in just a month.
But now, he was willing to give up the power he had amassed and hand over his territory to another country.
"Haley, I don't belong here. I've never felt a sense of belonging," Leonardo said slowly. "The most developed country around the Hinterlands is Country Y, where you live now. The queen of Country Y is quite approachable and often participates in various activities. I'll find a way to meet her."
Haley had heard of this queen, who was often active on social media. It wasn't difficult for ordinary people to meet her.
She pursed her lips. "Given your current status, it's not appropriate for you to contact the queen of Country Y. Let me handle this. You just wait for my news."
"I don't feel comfortable with you going alone," Leonardo began to say.

Leonardo glanced at the time.

She was right. He had to leave. Leonardo stood up and planted a kiss on Haley's cheek before reluctantly leaving.
