Nicole suddenly remembered what Camilla had said, "All the gifts are secretly marked with a price."
What would she have to give up to have these things? Could she bear the cost?
Nicole looked up at Bryan in front of her and asked, "Bryan, why do you keep giving me things?"
This question left Bryan at a loss for words. He really didn't know how to answer.

Nicole's eyes sparkled. "So, you specifically bought these for me?"
"Not exactly. I didn't buy them myself," Bryan admitted partially. "You don't need to thank me too much."
Nicole thought it must have been Bryan's assistant or secretary who bought them, but they would have needed his instructions to do so.
Had Bryan really fallen for her at first sight?

It wasn't until noon, after Bryan and Nicole had lunch together, that Bryan drove Nicole back to her apartment.
Camilla had fled back to her apartment from the Winston Group, feeling uneasy all morning.
She poured herself a glass of red wine and stood on the apartment balcony. As she watched the scenery, her restless mood quickly calmed down.
Just as she was about to go to the kitchen to make lunch, she noticed a car pull up at the apartment entrance.
A man got out and gentlemanly opened the passenger door, from which Nicole emerged, carrying many gift boxes.
It wasn't until Bryan's car disappeared from the apartment entrance that Nicole walked into the building.
She hummed a tune as she walked, her face glowing with happiness, who was clearly a girl in love.
Camilla crossed her arms and said coolly, "Who was that man?"
Nicole was startled. "What are you doing at home in broad daylight?"
"I'll ask you again. Who was that man?" Camilla's voice was cold. "I don't care how reckless you are in Brussville, but this is Watertown. If something happens to you, Mom and Dad will definitely hold Micah responsible. You'd better explain yourself!"
Nicole pouted. "I'm just dating."
"I wouldn't interfere in a normal relationship, but you've only been in Watertown for a few days. How long have you known that man?" Camilla frowned. "Nicole, please be smart. No one in this world will be good to you for no reason."
"You're just jealous of me!" Nicole plopped down on the sofa. "Bryan fell in love with me at first sight. He wants to buy me everything he sees. What can I do?"
Camilla really didn't want to get involved. But she didn't want Patrick and Samantha to blame Micah if something happened to Nicole.
"Fine, I'll call Mom."
"Camilla, why are you acting like a child? What's there to tattle about?" Nicole stomped her foot. "Okay, his name is Bryan Lumi."
Camilla frowned. Why did that name sound familiar? She asked coldly, "Besides his name, what else do you know about him?"
"Nothing." Nicole shrugged. "That's all he told me. I just found out today. Is there a problem with that?"
Camilla almost laughed in exasperation. Nicole dared to date someone just knowing his name.
