Chapter 116 He Got Milk Spilled on Him
Todd stood on the side, his eyes filled with darkness.
He pinched his fingers and resisted the urge to go over to his sister.
Although this man didn't deserve to be their father, he was indeed their father.
With Ivan around, Angela's autism had improved significantly.
He couldn't selfishly make choices for his sister anymore!
Todd turned his head and refused to look at the scene that made him extremely uncomfortable.
Haley, who had been covering her face due to a sudden headache, walked over to pick up Angela
But unexpectedly, the little girl became as stubborn as a bull, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't pull her away.
"Haley, can I stay here with daddy tonight?" Owen blinked his eyes. "Angela likes daddy so much, she won't want daddy to leave...I can sleep on the floor!"
Ivan said faintly,"Miss DeRoss, I've never stayed overnight at someone else's house before, but today, I want to make an exception for Angela."
Haley: "..."
Why does it sound like staying overnight at her house is such a hardship?
If it weren't for Angela's liking, she would have kicked this father and son out long ago!
She pressed her temples and helplessly said,"Angela, let go."
The little girl shook her head vigorously and held onto Ivan's leg even tighter.
"If you don't let go, how will Mr. Winston go to wash up?" Haley sighed and said.
Angela's eyes lit up, and she obediently let go of his leg.
Just as Ivan was about to take a step, she quickly grabbed hold of his pants again, being cautious.
Ivan couldn't help but laugh,"Don't worry, Mr. Wiinston won't leave tonight. I'll stay here with you."
Angela finally smiled, the first time she genuinely smiled at the age of four.
Haley saw Angela's beautiful smile, filled with joy in her eyes. She finally believed that some people are destined to be connected, just like Angela and Ivan. Two people who seemed unrelated but had such a connection.
Thankfully, Ivan was not a wicked person, or she would truly be worried.
The happiest person about staying here was Owen. He was excitedly bouncing around the room.
"Mr. Winston, there's a bed in the study on the ground floor. You and Owen can make do and spend the night there."
Haley carried Angela and spoke softly, "Mommy will take you upstairs to sleep and tell you a story..." She took the little girl upstairs and closed the bedroom door.
Owen thought to himself, is there any difference between staying or not?
He stayed on the ground floor with his Dad, while Haley and Angela stayed on the second floor. It was too far of a distance. Owen quietly glanced at Todd, who was reading in the living room, and saw that he didn't notice him. So, he tiptoed upstairs, pushed open Angela's bedroom, and quietly closed the door.
Helplessly, Haley looked at him and asked,"Why did you come up too?"
Owen stood by the door, looking down with a disgruntled expression but dared not approach the bed. Unable to bear his pitiful look, Haley waved him over and said,"Come over here and lie down with Angela to listen to the story."
Owen happily threw himself onto the bed, his dark eyes shining. "Yay, Haley, you're so good to me! Since Angela called my dad 'Dad,' can I call you 'Mommy'?"
