Chapter 436

The little girl also drank half a glass of wine, and her fair face instantly blushed like a big red apple.
Haley saw that all the children were drinking wine and felt that it wouldn't be good if she didn't join in...
She raised her glass, about to take a drink, but Todd reached out and stopped her. "I'll drink for you, Mom."
Ivan frowned and said, "You're just a child. You shouldn't be drinking. Let me do it."
Without a word, he took the wine glass from her.
Alfred discreetly bumped Ivan's shoulder and whispered, "Haley wants to toast to you, Mr. Winston. How could you drink for her?"
Ivan suddenly seemed to realize something.
"Maybe Todd shouldn't have red wine; it's strong, and children can't handle it," Alfred said, taking the wine glass from Ivan's hand and handing it back to Haley. Just take a symbolic sip, Haley. It's just for show."
Haley clinked glasses with Ivan and took a sip of wine.
The taste of the wine was rich and lingered on her lips and tongue. Unable to resist, she took another sip.
Ivan glanced at her and downed the entire glass of red wine.
As the twilight settled in, the meal came to an end.
Haley bid farewell to everyone.
Alfred approached them with a congenial smile and said, "Haley, you've had a few drinks and you shouldn't be driving. How about you stay over for the night?"
Haley remained silent, realization dawning upon her. The pieces fell into place, and she understood that Alfred's persistent toasts at dinner had been a prelude to this very proposal.
Massaging her temples, she calmly offered a solution, "I'll just book a ride with a driver service."
Alfred was momentarily at a loss. The existence of a designated driver service had completely slipped his mind.
"A designated driver is not safe," Ivan said calmly. "You're a young woman, drunk, and you’ll have children with you. We can't guarantee that the driver won't have any ill intentions."
Haley thought about it and gave up on the idea of calling a designated driver.
She was about to ask the Winston family's bodyguard to give her a ride when she heard Alfred standing at the villa's door saying, "It's Sunday today. After finishing our work, you can all can rest and take half a day off tomorrow..."
All the servants were stunned at Alfred's words.
Take a day off?
When did the Winston family start taking days off?
Since there were two children in the house, the maids and bodyguards took turns on duty. Someone was always present in the villa.
But now, Alfred was telling them all to leave?
Although they were a bit confused, everyone liked having a day off, so the bodyguards and maids quickly dispersed...
Haley rubbed her temples.
The bodyguards and maids were all gone. Would Alfred drive her home?
But Alfred was so old. Could he even drive?
Her gaze fell on Ivan. Could she ask that man to drive them home?
But Mr. Winston was always busy. Would he have time for that?
"I saw some news yesterday," Keith suddenly spoke up. "A single young woman who was drunk and alone on her way home ended up choking to death because no one was there to take care of her when she vomited."
Owen turned pale with fear. "Don't go home, Mom. Just stay here tonight. I'll take care of you!"
Angela's eyes were filled with tears. "Don’t go back tonight, Mom..."
She was really drunk. Haley felt her mind getting hazy.
"Wait until you sober up before going back," Ivan said in a gentle tone. "Go rest in the guest room, and I'll bring you some hangover medicine."
Todd looked at her in concern. "I'll help you to the guest room, Mom."
